Chapter 4 It's a trap!

"Watch your step.", Jihyo warned while struggling to walk down the crooked stairs.

"If anything pops out, I'm running first!", Jeongyeon joked while almost slipping.

"How can you joke at a time like this!", Nayeon grumbled.

"Keep your voices down, girls.", Jihyo whispered.

Mina and Dahyun held onto each other, wishing they could've stayed with the others.

"Are you alright, Momo?" Sana worried.

"Yeah, just a bit lightheaded".

"This is insane! Do you guys think our manager set us up?", Chaeyoung speculated.

"I think he did. I had an odd feeling about him when I first saw him.", Tzuyu answered, trying to get a signal on her phone. 

"Yeah! And PD-nim never mentioned anything about coming to an orphanage. Our other managers never mentioned this either!", Chaeyoung added.

Sana sat down and began reading through the diary again. Looking through the pages thoroughly for any clues about the children. She flipped back to the page that said 'It's a trap' and took another closer look at it.  

"Hey girls, what do you think 'It's a trap' means?", Sana questioned while scratching her head.

"What do you mean?", Momo frowned.

 "Oh, it's nothing... Hey, do you guys wanna check out these rooms?", Sana quickly changed the subject and pointed down a hallway.

"Are you crazy? There's a possible murderer in this building and you want to go exploring?!",  Momo scolded. 

"Well, maybe we can find clues about what happened to the children or whether any of them survived or not." 

Momo sighed and stood up. "Okay fine... Let's go" 

The four members headed towards the hallway and found 3 rooms. Two of the rooms had missing doors and one of them had warning taped on the door. The hallway seemed different to the rest of the orphanage. It was older than the rest of the building, the paint on the walls were a completely different colour and the floor was deteriorated. Tzuyu peaked into the first room while others check the second room. 

"There's nothing but a bed in here", Tzuyu announced.

"Same here. They all look exactly like Lucy's room, but it's almost like no one's lived in them. Yet, it looks so run-down", Sana said while shining a light into the dusty room. 

"What about this room?", Chaeyoung asked. 

"I think it's best if we don't go in there...", Momo trembled. 

"Wait, look", Tzuyu pointed down at a small shiny object wedged underneath the door. 

Chaeyoung bent down and pulled out a key. She put it into the door and began twisting it.

"What are you doing, Chae!? You don't know what's in there!", Momo shrieked while trying to stop Chaeyoung.

The door slowly creaked open and the two girls quickly backed away, expecting something to jump out at them. 

Tzuyu walked up to the door and kicked it open.

"Just another ordinary room...", Tzuyu said while smirking at the two girls shitting themselves.

Sana peaked in and spotted a small table in the corner of the room. She stepped over the warning tape and headed inside with Tzuyu following behind her.
