Bloody Fists
chapter three"Cyberbulling is no laughing matter." The counsellor stood in the middle of the cafeteria with a mircophone. Though people weren't actually listening, she still tried her best "sending a cruel message to someone online can be just as harmful as saying it to their face."
Davina sat beside Eli, her arms folded on the table and her head resting against them. She was practically falling asleep at the sound of the woman's voice.
"I'm not gonna name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of his facial deformity."
Her words had caused Davina to snap her head up, seeing everyone's eyes land on Eli.
"The hell are you looking at? Are you seeing your own facial deformity through other peoples eyes?" She snapped to a girl at the table next to hers, who had turned to whisper mean things into her friends ears.
Davina was sure she could take out every single person sitting in that cafeteria with her orange. She had to refrain herself from throwing it at the counsellors face when she picked it up.
She could still feel a few eyes starring at him, she turned her body around. Catching the eyes of Kylers friend "do you have a starring problem or do you have a crush on him? Cause you can't stop looking at him"
Kylers friend gave her a greesy look, foccusing his attention back onto his phone.
"But today, our goal here is to make this school a safe space for all students" the counsellor smiled, like she hadn't caused some damaged.
"You know, if you're sick of getting bullied. My karate dojo's looking for recruits" Miguel leaned back into his chair, looking at Eli.
Eli gave him a greatful look, which was shot down quickly when Demetri spoke up "yeah, right. Do you hear that Eli? A little karate training and you're gonna kick some major ass."
"He already does kiss ass. He kicks your tiny back bump every time we have a fight." Davina spoke up.
Demetri rolled his eyes "it's a lot more than a tiny back bump, and our fights are pillow fights. They don't count. You two team up on me."
Miguel sat up in his chair "I'm serious, Demetri. My sensei's the real deal, I'm sure I could get you all discounts."
"As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoons playing crucible control than getting hit in the face." Demetri replied
"And one last thing" the counsellor brought their attention back to her "while we're all looking foward to the Halloween dance, let's make sure our costumes are culturally sensitive for example, instead of sexy nurse maybe try gender neutral hospital employee."
Davina leaned foward "what are you two going as?" She questioned Miguel and Demetri.
Miguel shrugged "not sure yet."
"You'll see later" Demetri told her waving his fingers around.
