Bloody Fists
chapter thirteen

"So you might be wondering what a team does after they win the championship. The answer? Victory nachos!" Aisha pointed her phone at the plate of nachos sitting in between the four; Hawk, Demetri, Aisha and Davina, Miguel was at the diner aswell, but he had walked off a few minutes before.

Hawk whooped and cheered loudly, lifting his glass of ice cold coke, he clanked it against Davina's lemonade.

"It was supposed to be a round of drinks, but the waitress was not feeling Hawks fake ID." Aisha explained with a disapointed shake of her head.

"Hey" Hawk whispered "don't talk about that. My parents follow you."

"Hi Katie, Hi Declan!" Davina waved with a smile at Aisha phone.

"Sorry Mr and Mrs. Moskowitz" Aisha grimaced "anyways until next time, no mercy, bitches." Aisha finished, sitting down beside Demetri.

"I gotta say, it's nice to be at a victory party." Demetri spoke up. Nacho in hand, he went to take a bite before it was snatched by Hawk. "Yeah, except you had nothing to do with the victory." Hawk ate the nacho.

"Then i consider it a belated party for the coding competition we won at computer camp. Remember? Demetri and Eli, binary brothers" Demetri said in a robotic voice, making robot hand movement "see how it's only him and I? That's because we don't like Davina."

"Man, drop the attitude." Davina rolled her eyes, a occurrence that happened often.

"Yeah, and cool it with fhe nerd shit" Hawk leaned closer to Demetri, harshly muttering the words to him.

Demetris feautures dropped, he adverted his eyes away quickly.

"Where's Miguel?" Davina questioned, jumping in to change the subject before one of them ended up with their feelings hurt. "His wings are getting cold, and if he won't eat them I will."

"We know." Demetri replied "which is why the wings are the furthest they can be away from you."

"That's not nice." Davina frowned "but seriously, where is he?" She asked again. The group of four searching around the diner from their seats.

Hawk patted her thigh "he's up there" he pointed, the two slid out of the booth. Leaving Aisha and Demetri there alone.

Miguel had placed his phone on the bar table he was at "El serpiente" the words rolled off Hawks tongue as they approached him "there you are."

The two slid into the seats beside him "is this really how you want to celebrate your amazing victory?" Davina questioned "man you have an awesome first place trophy and you're still sulking."

"She blocked me." Miguel sighed, everyone knew who he was talking about. After what happened at the party, Miguel still had hope in Sam talking to him again."

"So, what happens when you get blocked? You counterpunch. Expect, maybe don't actually hit her this time" Hawk joked.

"Come on man" Davina scolded.

"What, too soon?" Hawk sighed quietly "look, all I'm saying is don't give up"

"It's no use. I blew any shot I had with her" Miguel replied, upset and hurt.

"Just give her some time. If she actually wanted things with you, she'll come around" Davina offered him comfort, even after what Sam had said to her at the party, she still wanted to see her friend happy.

"Or she won't" Hawk continued "you're the champ now. You can get any chick in the valley you want. You're like drake. Enjoy it" hawk nudged him with his elbow before getting up to return back to their table.
