Bloody Fists
chapter eight

Davina rolled her eyes with her arms crossed, leaning against Eli's bedroom door "come on eli. i don't have all day"

"yes you do. you have no life" Eli yelled back through his bedroom door with a small giggles

She got off the door, turning around and banging her fists against his white door "stop stalling already. . . holy shit eli, you didn't actually gauge out your eye right? I thought we agreed that you wouldn't do that."

"Don't worry that pretty little head of yours off, I didn't" Eli relied

Davina bounced on her heels, inpatiently. "then please come out and show me what you did. you're leaving me with a lot of thoughts here. i wouldn't be doing that if i was you."

The door behind her opened wide, and Eli revealed himself to her. Davina covered her mouth in shock.

"do- do you not like it?" eli asked while stammering over his words, quckly panicking at the thought of her hating his new haircut.

Eli had transformed his small cut into a blue Mohawk.

Davina shook her head "no. it looks awesome" she smiled "but why- how do you even have enough hair for that."

Eli shrugged "I have no clue, they were just able to find enough apparently. I thought a lot about what you and Sensei said about flipping the script, so here it is."

Davina smiled "I'm proud of you."

"Thank you. I don't think I could find it in me to have the guts to be like you, you know, confident. So I thought that I would take the attention off of my lip, with something bold.

"well, it's definitely a bold choice" Davina replied "looks spikey. I want to touch it, but I'll ruin it."

"You would never" Eli lifted her hand up, running it along the top spikes of the mohawk "and its a Mohawk sunshine, it's supposed to be spikey."

Davina shrugged "could've done some swirls. Would've been so much cooler "

"i'll make sure to have them swirl the ends next time, just for you." Eli promised, though it was a fake one, they both knew he would never

"you should go rainbow" Davina suggested

Eli shook his head "i love you, sunshine and I trust your opinion better than anyone's, but there's no way i'm going rainbow" he protested.

. . .

Later that day, the pair were at the dojo, while they were waiting for Johnny to start the class, Davina had joined Miguel, Eli and Aisha in the middle of the mat while they were doing warmups

"i need somehwere romantic, but not too romantic" Miguel speaks up, he had scored a date with Sam LaRusso and was needing the help of his friends to plan the perfect date

"mcdonald's playground" Davina proposed.

Miguel slowly turned his head towards her "that is the reason why you don't go on dates."

"excuse me?" Davina furrowed her eyebrows "i went on a date with a guy at a mcdonald's playground. it went very well. We even talk to this day"

"where is he now?" Miguel questioned.

Davina wrapped an arm around eli's shoulders, bringing his closer to her "right here. It's been eight years since that day and we're still going strong"
