I stood against the counter, my head was still pounding. As I waited for my coffee to brew I couldn't help but think of last night. Austin and I were two inseparable people with lust between us but today was a new day. I have a boyfriend at home. Even though hes more of a pain then ever I have to love him. My door opened to Katie as she slouched her way to me.

"How ya feeling"? I asked and she shook her head. "Did you know Troy is talking to someone"? She asked and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. My mouth dropped.

"What? Who"? I asked and she shrugged.

"He wouldnt tell me. But I guess its serious. I had to listen about it all night. I finally passed out just so he'd stop talking". She groaned and rubbed her eyes again. "Where the hell did you run off to last night. I looked up and both you and Austin were gone". She winked.

"Cigarette break". I sighed.

Without saying anything she took an apple from the bowl and walked to the couch. Minutes later Mike walked in. "Todays the day. I have some exploring to do so you guys have fun" he smiled. Not buying it.

"Oh? Like what"? I asked, clearly onto him and Austin.

"Oh you know, sightseeing, food venues, the whole yard. But we need to make it back here before nine if we wanna make it out on time". He said and poured a cup of coffee. My coffee.

"And everybody stop taking my things. That's my coffee and my apple". I groaned and sat next to Katie.

"First off shit for brains it's the hotel's apple and second what the hell are you talking about"? Katie laughed.

I didnt say anything, soon the room filling with Troy and Austin. I instantly ran to Troy, blocking him from walking in. "Who is she"! I chipped.

He rolled his eyes and wiggled past me but I held him in a tight hug. Letting him walk us to the couch. I was such a child sometimes.

"Shes none of your business". He chuckled, trying to get my arms off of him. "Lani". He wined.

"Tell me, friends tell each other everything". I spoke.

With a final attempt he tried to remove my hands again and lost. "Guys, please". He spoke and in seconds my fingers were off of him, being pulled into someone's chest. Mike stood infront of me so that only ment this was Austin.

"Why wont you tell me"! I giggled as Troy shook his head. "Pretty please"! I begged.

"Because theres nothing to say about it. We went on one date and that was it". He spoke softly.

"But you're still talking about her so that only means she still around. All I want is for you to be happy. I smiled.
"Yeah and also beat her ass if she hurts you". Katie added from the kitchen area.

"Okay girls, it's time to go get breakfast. Leave Troy alone". Mike chuckled and walked out of the room.

I was still in Austin's grasp, wiggling to get out. I felt more comfortable to be this close to him after last night. Normally I would be fighting him.

"We need to talk". He whispered. Katie and Troy followed Mike out of the room and he let me down. I turned to face him, waiting for the 'leave me alone speech' but it never came. Just a small peck of my lips.

"Do you remember anything from last night"? He asked. Oh yes Mr. Butler
All of it.

"Not much" I lied. "Why"?

He walked over to the door and shut it then turning back to face me.

"What about three in the morning"? He was on to me. I knew trying to be quiet didnt work. I was probably a bull in a china shop.

"Nope, nothing, just asleep". I lied again.

"Really. So you weren't sitting at the door listening to my conversation"? He asked, stepping closer.

"I dont recall actually. I do sleepwalk so that might have been it". I said and walked to my coffee. My eyes big.

"Alana". He spoke sternly.

"Okay fine"! I admitted. "I got up to get water and I heard talking but I didnt listen". I was somewhat honest with that part.

He stepped closer, pulling my shirt to pull me to him as he wrapped his arms around me. His lips pressed to my ear. "Then why did i hear you, that's why I ended the conversation". He spoke, his teeth grazing my ear.

"I promise, I didnt listen afterwards. I was drunk and tired and i-" he cut me off with his lips, bringing us to the couch.

"Calm down princess, I'm not mad". He smiled. He wasnt? "I just didnt want you to feel freaked out. It was just a friend to visit". He added, laying his forehead on mine.

"I wasnt freaked out". See, telling the truth was easy. Somewhat.

"The less you know, the better". And with that he got away from me and walked to the door. When he turned to look at me I gave him a fake smile.

"Aye, lose the fake behind that". He chuckled and I gave him a pout.

"So you're never going to tell me"? I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"There's nothing to tell". He smirked. Taking a step closer.

"Austin"! I wined causing him to laugh and turn back to the door, like he had to stop himself.

"You're cute when you do that". He chuckled, using his finger to call me over. "I heard breakfast was good. You coming? If not I can have my breakfast now". He winked.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed my sweater off the chair. Today was going to be something but I had to keep an eye out. My number one priority is to make sure Mike is safe, my second was to get it out of Austin.

She knew more then what she just said. She wants to protect Mike. I get that, but why does she want to protect me? I'm nothing then the guy who kisses her. As I walked off to the breakfast bar she walked behind me slowly. Her thoughts speaking loudly.

"Why won't he tell me"?

"Did I do something wrong"?

"Maybe I do like him better".

I smiled to myself as we made it to the elevator. I grabbed her hand and kissed it. "You did nothing wrong princess. I just want to keep that beautiful smile on your face". I spoke softly and brought my lips to hers.

She pulled back, wrapping her arms around my waist, my head resting on top of her head.

I cant lose this girl. Shes making me feel alive again.
