I sat at the table. My hands on my stomach. The sonogram picture sitting infront of me. Liam had just left after he explained everything to me. This will be a normal birth, minus the blood the baby would need daily. He gave me a set of vitamins to take, they will help my body as it grows the baby. I picked my phone up and called Katie. She answered, giggling in the background.
"Yes". She sang.
"Can you come to Austin's"? I asked.
She told Niall to stop as the commotion stopped. "What's wrong, are you okay"? She asked
"Please, just get here". I sobbed and quickly hung up. Now I had to call my mother.
"Hello sweetheart". She answered.
After I took a deep breath she spoke. "Lani"?
"Momma, I'm pregnant". I spoke softly.
The silence on the other end made me worry. "Momma"? I called out.
"My baby, oh my gosh. My baby is having a baby"! She cheered.
I'd be lying if I said that didnt make me feel better. We talked for a bit until Austin walked in. Roses in his hand.
"Okay mommy. I gotta go. I'll call you later'. I smiled and hung up.
Austin walked up to me, his head down. I knew he didnt mean to leave. It was alot.
"No, dont say that. Dont stick up for my horrible actions. I left you when you were scared. I hate myself". He hissed and kicked the chair in front of him. I jumped.
He walked over to me, dropping to his knees and hugging my body tightly. "Baby". I whispered.
His eyes looked at mine, I felt his pain. I pulled his face to look at mine. He hadn't eaten. I reached over and grabbed the small pocket knife but he stopped me.
"I dont need it". He pouted, bring his arms back around me.
"We will get through this". I whispered.
"You'll die, this baby will possibly kill you. Your body is fragile Alana. To fragile and I ruined it". He spoke softly into my stomach.
I shook my head and brought his face to mine. "You didnt ruin anything. This baby is ours, do you understand that. It happens, you knew how much I wanted to be a mother. You gave me the bestest gift in the world. Please don't hate yourself or think that way. I wouldnt have made it this far without you holding my hand". I sobbed.
When the front door opened I knew it was Katie. She walked in with Niall as she saw what was going on.
"What happened. Did he cheat on you. You fucking asshole"! Katie hissed as she stated to hit Austin.
Niall grabbing her off of him. I stood up and grabbed Katie. "Nobody cheated". I said.
"Then why are you crying and why is he all upset. Who died"? She questioned. "Oh my god. Was it aunt Minnie. Oh god no. She had so much to live for an-"
"Shut up Katie and be a supportive aunt for one god damn second". I yelled, laughing.
"I am calm. Im- did you say aunt"?
Austin handed me the sonogram pictures as Katie backed up. "This is a joke right. It's a fake one"? She spoke, she was very confused.
"Babe. Look at the name on it". Niall smiled as he shook Austin's hand.
"B-Baby". Katie gasped. Looking at me. "Were having a baby"! She smiled and Niall cleared his throat.
"Its Austin and Alanas babe". He spoke but she put her hand infront of his face.
"Our. Baby" she smiled and ran over to hug me, tears in her eyes. "I told you we share her".
* * After we called literally everyone and told them we were exhausted. Austin laid in bed, just in his boxers as he stared at the ceiling.
I exited the bathroom after my shower, watching him. "Austin"? I asked. His eyes instantly glued to mine.
"What do you need princess. Are you hungry, thirsty. Want sex"? He asked, being the concern man he is.
"None. Just you". I smiled and crawled up next to him.
I engulfed myself into him as I kissed his neck. His hands around me.
"Are you happy"? I asked.
He sat us up and looked like he couldnt believe the words out of my mouth.
"Am I happy, I'm so fucking happy it hurts. I've never thought that i would be a dad. Never. Your gave me this opportunity and I couldnt be anything but fucking ecstatic". He smiled as he kissed me.
"Good. Because I dont want to do this alone". I said, feeling myself start to cry. He wiped the tear from my eye and kissed my cheek. Then he was always from me.
He came back into the room as he sat next to me. "I had this planned out months ago. But the thing with Niall happened then the dinner at my dads place. I guess this is a good time". He smiled and knelt down.
"No". I sobbed.
"Three hundred and twenty one years ago. I sat in my dining room. My dad at my side as we watched my mother die. Her last words to me were to make her happy in the past life. Today in this day in age I still feel her next to me, helping me be who I am. Months before she passed she gave me something to hold on to, afraid that other vampires would take it from her. I've held this for many years, just waiting until I could pass it on to the person I love most In this world. I know I've never said it, but the year we have been together already feels like eternity with you. My mother was human. She got pregnant with me at twenty years old. So when she died he took this from me, fixed it and made it something that was something old and something new." He pulled a small box from behind him.
"Alana Rose Karter. This baby is what I need to show how much I can love someone forever and I hope to spend forever with you. Will you marry me".?

He opened the box to a beautiful diamond ring. "I got it a bit updated. I didnt know if you wanted a ring from the 1800s". He chuckled.
My eyes started to tear up. The something blue was the sapphire crystal engraved. I wrapped my arms around him. "Yes, yes, yes". I sobbed.
Seconds later my friends appeared from behind us with champagne. Katie was a mess as she wiped her eyes.
"God damnit that was beautiful". Harry spoke as he wiped his invisible tears.
