"That's something I love about you."

Sinbad was gone. Only his metal vessels remain. Hopelessness hits you hard. So much so that you almost do not notice the glowing, green words scrawling on the wall next to you:

HE IS STILL ALIVE
TRAPPED INSIDE
SAVE HIM

"Ja'far? Masrur?" They were able to send you messages in the shrinking room, so maybe they can still help now. Reaching up to touch the words, you beg, "How?! How in the world am I supposed to save him?!"

The words fade with no new ones showing up.

You hear a whisper of, "Use the power at your disposal."

Zagan? you think the source is. Looking down at your necklace, you wonder how you'd be able to utilize this power. Like Sinbad pointed out before, you couldn't even partial equip yet. Nights on the boat between Zagan's Island and New Tison, you would go out on deck to practice. But you couldn't get anything out of it other than the recessive effect of changing your appearance. Even that perk you hadn't bothered with since being preoccupied with the current dungeon.

Finally, a solitary clue appears on the wall:

INSTINCTS

Instincts?! You close your eyes and take a deep breath as you try to focus on your magoi. As you do so, words form in your mind so you say them out loud, "Servant of Loyalty and Purity, I command thee to use my magoi and lend me tremendous power! Appear Zagan!"

You can feel an energy flow through you and then around you. It feels as though the earth trembles below you. You open your eyes to see roots rapidly growing from the tunnel's ceiling. Powers of life, plants, creation: this is what Zagan grants you.

Now to analyze the situation with what you have. The dragon's many heads gives you a disadvantage to attack as whichever head you focus on, the others could counter. However, there is only room for one snout near the tunnel exit. If you could lure one back down...

You edge closer to the exit and the roots grow along beside you. Gaining a better view of the ledge, you spy more of Sinbad's metal vessels scattered about. Outstretching a hand, the roots obey your will and slither out to hook onto the vessels and bring them back into the tunnel. All six of them.

The movement simultaneously alerts one of the heads to your presence and it tries to snap at you again. This time, you hold it down by swishing your arm in an arc to have roots arch over its neck and pin it to the ledge.

You walk closer, hoping your proximity will entice it to open its mouth again. As soon as it does, you send a root shooting into its mouth. Based on a trick you've read about crocodiles, you have it extend vertically to hold the jaws apart. Sending more roots down its throat, you hope to find where Sinbad is trapped within.

When a root twitches, you retract all but the one holding the mouth open, pulling Sinbad out! He's covered in dragon stomach acid, but that bothers you little as you hug him. What matters is that he is alive! The villagers cheer in their animal dialects behind you.

"Oh Sin! You're okay!" You can't believe you actually managed to get him out!

In turn, his arms wrap around you. Slimy and trembling, but appreciative. "(y/n)! Oh (y/n)! That was the worst experience! Words can't describe...I-I actually felt like I was a goner. I've never felt like that before! I've always known it wasn't my day to die, but after failing to get out...being trapped in there for so long...that feeling of assurance was gone." He loosens the embrace enough to look directly into your eyes. "Thank you, (y/n)."
