Kang Haerin was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen , and it was evidently so when she was crowned the unofficial title of THE sophomore of the year.

Her intricate features like her cat-like eyes and perfect small smile caught the eyes of many, and many people were head over heels for her.

Lastly, at such a young age, she already had the world under her feet when Newjeans debuted with immense popularity. It was unsurprising that the days she wasn't at school outweighed the days that she was.

There was only one small problem. Haerin was really shy, and could never hold a single conversation let alone initiate one. She had an introverted personality and was never one to talk much.

Adding to the fact that I could count the days she was in school with my two hands, it was not a surprise that she had few friends. Imagine having the courage to even try to befriend an idol.

I had the chance to do so when we were paired for a project in Design and Technology class, where we had to create a prototype to help the elderly with walking.

In the first lesson where we were a pair, there wasn't much talking involved between us , just a few small exchanges on what to do and such.

It was why I decided to check out Newjeans and try to get to know Haerin better, since I felt that we wouldn't make a breakthrough if I didn't know who she was and how to approach her.

In the process of watching their reality show and vlogs, I fell in love with Minji but noted Haerin's personality and I was really excited for the next DnT session, wanting to finally be able to make friends with her.

"Hiii Haerin, I'm now a Jeanies!" I eye-smiled at her immediately once she arrived at her seat.

She was baffled and cutely tilted her head , "What's Jeanies?"

"I don't know, I read online that fans really want their fandom name to be Jeanies." I explained, as she chuckled a little.

"So.. who's your bias?" Haerin bounced up and down in anticipation , seemingly wanting me to pick her.

"Minji..." I averted my eyes away from her gaze, as she furrowed her eyebrows at me.

"You sure you don't wanna take that back right now? That F on your result slip might make you rethink." Haerin's head came dangerously close to mine as she threatened cutely.

"But Minji is soo cute, how can I resist?"

"She's too old for you."

"Okay, I don't mind having Hyein as my bias."

"She's too young."

"Hanni! Such a cutie."

"YAH! Y/N! Stop it. I'm your bias, shut up." Haerin pouted, smacking my shoulder.

"Fine, you're such a jealous girl." I teased, and she was having none of it. We started throwing little punches at each other, and I found out how tickle prone she was. We were creating such a ruckus that the teacher had to step in.

"Just kidding, Minji is still my bias. Age is just a number !" I whispered into her ear.

"SHUT UP NOW."
