The three entered a field, much like the one with the warehouse that had started this adventure. They had informed Caity about the creature and how it had attached them twice before. They walked on. Trudging through familiar dead grass. The sky had cleared up, and the sun returned, drying up the land of its water. The air clung to them, and made them feel uncomfortable in the hot air. Walking was all they did. As the sun crept up in the sky, and the beat only got worse. Looking out, the ground wavered in front of Noble's eyes. Suddenly be saw a familiar sight. A warehouse, rusted and old. It's doors hanging from its hinges. Nobel stopped in his tracks. Sarah did too. Caity kept walking until she saw her companions stop.
' no,' Nobel whispered, ' no no no!' He yelled, ' we are back here, we went in a circle!' He fell to the ground, sitting on his knees. Sarah didn't move. She stood staring off into the distance. He looked up, only seeing the wavering warehouse. Then, he saw a jeep come trucking from around the side of it, coming straight at them. Nobel grabbed Sarah's arm and pulled her down, and Caity crouched. They sat there, watching the jeep pass them. Nobel looked at sarah, here eyes looked as if they were filled with excitement.
' this isn't the same place' she said,
' I noticed,' Nobel said, standing. The three stood, and began walking once more. As they approached the warehouse, they heard screams, and wails ringing out. What a nice place to spend vacation, Nobel thought darkly, as he looked at sarah who must have shared the same thought. Looking around the building, they noticed that the original door hung off, but new doors had been put over them, all sealed, except for one. As they came around to the front of the building, they saw a large man, dressed in all black and had a rifle strapped to his back. He was repeatedly pulling out something from his pocket and shoving it into his mouth. Cookies? Pathetic. Nobel thought, looking at the strong man eating Thin Mints while doing something that seemed important.
The three went back around the side, and started to hatch a plan.
" how are we going to distract Mr.Cookies over there?' Caity asked, looking at both of them, obviously clueless of what to do.
' maybe throw an oreo and see if he chases it,' Nobel joked, but neither of the girls looked amused.
' we could throw a stick and he might think it's a person,' Caity suggested.
' ahh a good old game of fetch,' Nobel teased, ' a classic'
' would you shut up already?' Sarah asked, clearly growing impatient.
' ok, Ok, we'll do the stick think,' Nobel agreed. The three looked and looked for a stick, but with no trees, how could there be any sticks?
' this is hopeless,' Nobel said , ' there are no trees.' Sarah surveyed the land, not saying a word. He looked over, Caity was staring into space, probably thinking about their adventure so far. Nobel bend down and picked up a rock, and chucked in in the direction of the guard. The guard looked over, and he reached for his gun, and drew it, approaching the area where the stick was thrown. Nobel looked at Sarah and said, ' why didn't I think of that,' and Sarah gave him a smile, as they prowler towards the entrance to the warehouse. This warehouse was noticeably bigger than the one in the field near their homes. Caity grasped the door handle and they all heaved. The door swung open and a vast corridor lay in wait, quickly all three of them entered the building, and pushed the door shut. They all looked around. The place was dimly lit, and the walls had hundreds of doors on each side. The warehouse was just as rusty as the one before, and had a soggy cork-board on the wall to their right, approaching it, they saw it was covered in newspaper clippings. Nobel watched Sarah reach into her pocket and take out a clipping, folded and torn, it said, Fire at Stanford correctional facility. Chef of police said the fire started in the sub-basement, the lowest level. Many people think the fire was started by inmates, but investigator Thomas Richman- Sarah's clipping ended there, and the read the nearest clipping, there was no evidence that any inmates had been allowed down in the sub-basement, and many others say the fire was started by the guards. The clipping ended there, Sarah looked at Nobel, her eyes said how frightened she was, they were here.
