i miss being driven around in that shitty old truck—my arms wrapped around you,
my head laid so far back in laughter it threatened to fall off.
Our hands tangled,
your fingers brushing, caressing, the nape of my neck;
sprawled in the truck bed,
being held by you.
blanketed between the night sky and the everglades;
the city noise drowned by the roaring canal
Our faces so close your breath steals mine.in my next year of memory
I'd do it right,
see you for more hours—there will never seem to be enough time
kiss you earlier—i never thought i could miss your lips on mine.Everything is gone now,
there is nothing left for me
Except the memory of you
