The Fete

"Mum I'm going over to the jar stall I think it's my shift now" I say frantically "Sure hon just come meet me near the jumping castle and 2 ish" mom replies giving me a quick kiss on the forehead as I run of to the jar stall. And as usual I was late "Hurry up Lisa the jar aren't gonna sell by themselves" Mrs Ryder's cries as I crawl my way from under the table into the stall. "Hello" I say to my first customer a lady with a 1 year old balanced on her hip and a 10 year old holding her right hand. "Hey could I have two jars please" she ask with a pleading tone as the 10 year boy was an grabbing 2 sticks from the sand. "Sure" I say as she gave me her $4 and quickly took the popsicle stick from the kid cause he was gonna snap it. "103 and 1048" I say grabbing the two jars from the shelf and plonked them into the kids arms. "Thanks" he say digging his hand around in the jar to get the huge fizzes at the bottom. I glance at Indie watch (cause I left mine at home) 10:30 "Yes" my shift was over! I crawl out of the stall and jog over to Winters stall The Mother's Day cupcake stall. I walked in to see Winter and Sapphire pigging out in the corner shoving 5 cupcakes into there mouths."Wow" I laugh as Winter and Sapphire struggle to swallow the lot but they swallowed it all without choking thankfully. They both took deep sharp breaths "Hey we were looking for Tara to take some pics at the photo booth" Sapphire says shaking like mad cause she was having her sugar rush. "Oh she's right over there" cries Cathy who was eavesdropping the whole time. "Where?" Cried Winter standing up "Duh there" Cathy says pointing at the popcorn stall where Tara and a short blonde haired girl was standing. "I'll go get her" I cry sprinting of to them "Tara ,Winter and Sapphire are looking for you" I pant "Who are you" I ask the girl even though she had her back to me. "Omg Lisa how could you forget Lex" cried Tara grinning. The girl turns around and she becomes a bit familiar "Lex" I ask puzzled "Did you cut your hair" "Yep" she cries making her bob bounce. I give her a enormous bear hug "Oww Lisa let go Oww" she cries. I let go of her and face Tara and Lex "Winter and Tara are calling you to take a pic at the photo booth" I say I one breath. "Ok" they say and follow me to Winter and Sapphire. Winter was the first one to notice our appearance " Tara you came" she says hugging Tara "Hey Lex" she says hugging her too. "Guys lets gooo"yells Sapphire who was standing halfway to the photo booth. I jog up to her and Winter, Tara and Lex casually walk up to us "I dibs paying" cries Tara pulling out a $20 note and slamming it down in front of the two year 7 girls running the photo booth. "Ok you can go in now" says an optimistic year 8 who was near the booth. We jump in "3..2..1.. Smile" cried the the booth as we all pull stupid faces, normal smiles and when we were in costumes. Until our photos we done, I jump out and snatch the photos from the photo booth printing thing. "Let's cut them" says Winter. We cut them with scissors borrowed from the photo stall "We'll get two each" says Tara mathematically. "Thanks" Sapphire says as she get the one where she makes a hilarious face and her normal smile with all of us joining her in the photo. Tara gets the one where she's cross eyed and a normal one, Winter gets the one where she does an Elsa pose and her normal one, Lex a one where she's wearing a hilarious hat which was so big on her it hid her face and a normal one and I got one where I blew my grape flavored gum into a huge bubble and me smiling normally. "That was fun" says Sapphire pulling out her iPhone 5 "Wanna take a selfie" she says smirking "Sure" Winter says. We pose in front of the phone and take about 50 pics "I'll send them to you guys" says Sapphire with a sly grin on her face (she was up to something). "Hey I'm gonna get something for Mothers Day wanna come with me" I say "Sure" Tara and Lex say "We'll be at the popcorn stall if you need us" says Winter as Sapphire runs off to the popcorn stall "Wait up". " Come on" I say enthusiastically as Tara and Lex slowly lagging behind. "Ugghh" I groan, grabbing their hands and literally dragging them to the stall. Mrs Seuss was running the stall "What would you three girls want" she asked with her eyebrow raised as she say me staring at the soccer ball in the 'Trash or Treasure' stall. "Im having that one" declared Tara holding the hamper with a sweet smelling scent, "That one is soo mine" cried Lex peering into the hamper looking at the perfume and a glass vase inside. "I'll like this one" I say passing Mrs Seuss the hamper filled to the brim with 'mothers stuff'. We pay and we leave to the trash and treasure " I dibs getting that soccer ball" I say rushing to the ball but I was kinda too late. "Damn" I say under my breath as Leon was admiring the ball. "Hey Leon" I say awkwardly staring at the ball "Oh hey Lisa" he says dropping the ball onto the ground professionally kicking it up and then started juggling the ball on his knees. I quickly stole the ball away from him with my feet "Ha" I smirk as Leon also has a smirk on his face. After 5 minutes our whole team came over and we had an awesome game of soccer and we tied cause on the 3rd game Lex called me over to look at the minecraft blocks she had bought for 50cents. "Wow" I gasp we three we also Minecraft lovers "Lets go rub it in Andy's face" cried Lex "Why" I ask "Duh cause he loves Minecraft and he'll be super jealous" she cried grinning "Where did Andy come from" says Tara sarcastically "Could I go back to the..." I stop as Tara nods and Lexy rolls her eyes. "Cool thanks" I cry sprinting back to the game. "Aww" I whine as the game was over, Leon was back at Trash and Treasure admiring the ball fingering his wallet. "Hey" I cry jogging up to him "Yeah" he says kinda startled "Could I hang out with you" I ask the ball (yeah Lisa has a weird thing about talking to things) I think Leon thought I was talking to him "Um" he says fidgeting a lot. "Oh sorry I was talking to the ball not you" I say apologetically "Ook" he says nodding his head at me with his eyebrow raised. I blush and realized blushing is really contagious as suddenly Leon started blushing. "If your buying the ball could I buy it of you I don't mind if it's an expensive cost" I gabble. "Sure" he says grinning as he walked over to the counter "That would be 50 cents" smiled the man running the stall "Cool" Leon cries reaching for his wallet and passing a 50 cent coin to the man. "Thanks" Leon cries as he left running towards me "So could I buy it of you" I fidget. "Ok" he says grinning "How much" I cry "You know what this ball is kinda tacky" he says fingering the ball "Soooo how much" I ask again raising my eyebrows "If you want it you can keep it I'm just asking" I say with a shrug "No this ball is really tacky" he says passing the ball to me "So I could have the ball for.." he cut me of "Free" he finishes my sentence "Thanks Leon" I say grabbing him into a hug. Suddenly a voice in my head screams "Lisa what the hell you doing!" and then I noticed what I was doing and I quick pushed away. "Woh" Leon says blushing "Don't get too excited" I blush back "S sorry" I stammer. "Lisa" a familiar voice class out from behind a 'Kittens 4 sale' sign. I realize the voice is Tara's and Lex's head poked out from behind the sign. "Idiots" I whisper angrily under my breath Leon heard Ben and Kris call out from behind a tree "Gotta go see ya" we both cry out angrily to each other at the same time as we stiffly walk. I walk towards Lexy and Tara and Leon goes to Ben and Kris. "You stupid, sneaky, annoying creepy" I hiss at them holding back bigger words in my head as they were rolling on the ground spluttering with laughter. "Lisa and Hahahahaha" cries out Tara as Lex clutches herself. Finally when they had calmed down Tara suddenly jumps up and yells "Winter and Sapphire have got to know" and with that she was off leaving me and Lex behind. I sit down next to Lex dark cloud above my head "Hey do you know Tara's birthdays coming up next month, what ya gonna get her?" she says which changes my mood completely "Umm"I say until Winter calls us over. "LISA" Winters voice cries out "Pie throwing on now" she pants I grin "Come on" I say to Lex but she's already there. I sprint there and see Tara, Winter, Sapphire and Lex all paying for there throws I pay too. "Sorry guys but their no more teachers left to throw pies at and the priciple washing the cream of her face so now students can throw at students"says the apologetic year 8er. "Yes" hisses Tara looking at the list of people signed up...

"Andy is gonna die" cried Tara doing her evil laugh, "Freddie Burger is dead" hissed Winter, "Number 3 on the death list" Sapphire says poking her finger into the pie then licking it, " Bye bye to Taylor" Lexy says with a huge grin and "Leon Mitchell your a goner" I laugh. " First on the list Andy Bates" Andy stands behind cardboard cutout of a pie so his head would stick out the cut out hole "Good Luck" we whisper to Tara who had a mean, lean, killing machine face on. The years 8 had a tally book and the person to throw the pie ever so accurately will get a giant platinum trophy. Tara went first.
Tara took aim and threw it but missed, she lifted the second pie but the wind made it go the wrong direction and hit the year 8 who happily licked his face, lastly she went in a slight angle so the wind would direct it to his smug little face then "SPLAT" the custard pie had comically splatter all over his face except his perfectly gelled hair. Tara scooped up some custard and rubbed it into his gelled hair, 15 minutes later everyone had finished their turn except me. Leon looked like he wanted to scratch his name of the pie throwing list but there was no turning back. He stood behind the pie head through the hole with a hysterical expression on his face. I pick up the first and throw but it splatters on the ground. Leon grins "Is that all you got!" My face grimaced I picked up the second pie and threw hard and high it flew over the cut out pie and then we heard a hilarious "SQUELCH" the pie was now dripping onto Leon's face "Thanks Lisa" he growled in a friendly way. I grab the last pie and throw it and with that Leon had a chunk of cream fall of from the tip of his nose and splattering onto the ground "Hahahahah" laughed Ben who was literally rolling on the ground clutching himself. "Good hit Lisa" Winter chuckled "Thanks" I say grinning "Hey Tara what time is it" Tara took out her iPod "2:20 why?" "Oh my god mums gonna kill me" I cry "Cya guys" Lexy pulls me into a hug "You better come tomorrow text me if you're allowed to" "K" "Bye" I say as I run to the jumping castle. Mum was there talking to Andy's mum she saw me and randomly called out " Oz were going home" "Aww" Oz whined as he ran to the car. I roll down the window "See you guys tomorrow" I yell to Tara and Lexie (Winter and Sapphire had to go back to the cupcake stall).
