When Katniss heard the vicious screams of her sister, Prim, she ran to the woods- desperate to find her little sister.
"It's not real Katniss! They're jabberjays!" Finnick called from a distance; but Katniss was too far away to hear clearly. The screams came closer, and closer, and closer. Finally, she saw her sister injured, lying on the ground.
"PRIM!" Katniss threw herself at her, until she noticed that her stomach was non-stop bleeding. "Prim, how'd you get here?" Prim just trembled. "Hov-hover-hovercraft. The Cap-Capitol took me."
"Why?!" Katniss exclaimed. Prim just shook her head.
"I love you Katniss. But I'm going to die. Forget about me. Go." Her hands seemed to shake. Katniss shook her head fiercely.
"I'm staying right here." Katniss squeezed Prim's hand.
"Katniss, can you do me one last favor?"
"Of course," Katniss whispered. Prim lightly smiled. She rolled over and asked,
"Tuck in my tail?" Katniss cried but did what she was asked. Prim started to close her eyes and Katniss said her last words to Prim:
"Love you forever, little duck."
