Before the first games, Katniss Everdeen got a tracker injected into her arm. But it wasn't a tracker, it was a serum. Katniss's memory was temporarily erased when she entered the simulation. It took her to an entirely new world with a new name: Beatrice Prior. She eventually figured out that she was in a simulation since she was divergent. She also found out how to leave it; she had to die. She didn't want to leave Tobias, but she new she had to go back to her own world, to her sister.
