Bon Voyage - (mini series) pt. 2

~ a few weeks later ~

Now I understood why me & Edmund were thick as thieves... He's funny, intellectual & gossipy kind of guy who loves his freedom, we're basically like partners in crime—including Ricky.

The one that's started to grow on me though, is James. He's so fun & witty yet down to earth and gives good advice but does the exact opposite.

"Y/n can you pass me my comb?"
I hear James say as I'm in the bathroom.

"Uh yeah sure."
I reply back looking for it.

"It's in the first drawer, the green one."
He says and I get it for him then open the door giving it to him.

"Here."
I say handing him it as I look to see him too dressed in yellow.

"Thanks, also don't be nervous it's gonna be okay."
He says as I nod putting my mascara away.

"Mhm."
I reply then walking out.

"Is everybody ready?"
Mama says with her voice raised so everyone's listening.

"Yea!"
We say almost in unison.

"Alright, let's get going."
She says as everybody goes back to talking and we all start walking out to the limo awaiting us.

- 30 minutes later -

We all got out as we arrived at a local University in Irvine that read 'University of California' where other famous people were arriving at too.

ABC-TV was airing the first ever annual rock n roll sports classic. This event would be watched on millions of tvs across the country, where famous musicians from the music industry would get together in 2 big teams and compete against the other team.

The East team wore all blue while the West team wore all yellow. The rounds included running track, swimming, soccer, speed walking, etc...

My heart started beating a little faster as we approached the venue eventually making it to the enormous campus on the other side.

The sound from the loud speakers booming filled my ears as I looked around making me cringe a little at the sudden impact.

Loud indistinguishable talking seemed to fill the atmosphere as crowds of people gather around excitedly talking about the rounds, musicians and the competition overall.

We then made our way to the tents.

There's so many familiar faces in here I couldn't count on just one hand.

The runaways were here, Earth Wind & Fire members can be seen talking to other members of the Commodores. The Jacksons are here, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis are here, including other artists from Motown and outside.

You've got to be kidding me! Is that Gladys Knight?

"Okay so who's going?"
I ask

"I wanna go!"
Foster says

"Edmund, Olan, Me & Ricky. Then on the big run we all go."
Says Leon

"Heyy I wanna participate on the rounds too."
I say putting my hand on my hip

"Yea plus you're gonna need more girls for the other female rounds."
Olan says

"Yeah and if my twin doesn't go then neither do I."
Edmund states putting his arm around my shoulders

"Alright alright, well since it's the male's round first, Edmund can go."
Leon says looking at Edmund

"Then, Olan goes for the 1st females round."
He says as I frown a little
