Y/n's p.o.v
"Something that Christ didddd." I solo, as my brothers & sisters from the church choir harmonize along.
"Insideee." I finish off, feeling a little overwhelmed as I usually do when I feel the Holy Spirit.
We had just came back from New York, where our choir participated in a gospel show being held at a local Pentecostal church and I finally got to hear the Boys Choir of Harlem sing live.
My mother thought it'd be a good idea for me to go, she'd always encouraged me to share my gift with the world, but reminded me that most importantly I needed to sing for the Lord.
Everybody started praising the Lord, while some even clapped. Glancing over at the crowd of God fearing people, I spotted my best friend Tionne, sat with two other girls. One who I recognise to be her cousin-in-law Lisa, whom just came down from Philly recently.
- a few moments later -
I finally got to go see them.
"Hii I haven't seen you in so long!" Lisa says, standing up to hug me almost instantly.
"Heyy, I know right!" I smile as I hug her back and nod at Tionne.
"Hey Y/n, this is my friend Crystal." Tionne gestured to the girl beside her, as me & Lisa pulled away and I looked at the taller girl with the curly hair.
"Hey." I humbly smiled, sticking my hand out.
"Hi, I'm Crystal nice to meet you." She gave a grin, taking my hand in hers and shaking it.
"Y/n, it's nice to meet you too." I shake her hand momentarily before letting go.
"I really dig your voice." She compliments.
"Thanks!" I shyly smile.
"See I told you she could sing." Tionne stated matter of factly, as she playfully nudged Crystal.
"Guys, I think she's the missing piece to our group." Lisa turned to Tionne and Crystal, who now eyed me.
"Group?" I cluelessly raise a brow, glancing in between the 3 girls standing before me.
"Yeah, Pebbles is holding auditions for this new girl group she's putting together, here in ATL." Crystal nods, placing a hand on her hip as I slowly nod, processing it.
"Yeah, so what do you say?" Tionne asks, the trio now focusing their gaze on me, as excitement grew on their faces.
"Don't have to tell me twice!" I sassily reply.
"Okayy." Tionne chuckles, shaking her head.
"Great, welcome to the group!" Crystal says smiling, passing it onto me.
"Yeah that's what I'm talking bout!" Lisa slings her arm around my shoulders, making me giggle.
I'm in a group now? We're auditioning for Pebbles?? Mercedes boy, Pebbles?? I am so in!!
