"Dear Bobby, I couldn't have chosen another time to tell you that I... I don't..." I mumble looking down at the paper

No I can't say it like that.

"Dear Bobby, I am so sorry but we—I—this can't—UGH." I frustratingly sighed before leaning back

I need to tell him... And I need to tell him soon!

"Y/N?" I heard my mother call as her footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs

"YES?" I shouted back putting my pen down

"WHERE ARE—Oh you're here." She said standing at my door frame

"Are you crying?" She raised a brow

"No.." I looked off into a trance

"Is it about that boy?" She asked as I snapped back looking at her

"No mama it's nothing." I quickly say before looking back down at the paper

"Y/n there are plenty of other—"

"Okay but they're not Bobby." I irritably say as she shakes her head walking away

I sigh

How do I tell him?

"DON'T FORGET TO BRING THE REST OF YOUR BOXES!" I hear her shout

"ALRIGHT!" I shout back

Just then my phone rang

"Hello?" I mumble with a frown bringing the phone to my ear

"Hey mamas, me and Tommy bout to head to Wilbur Haynes' you coming?" Bobby asked and my heart pumped faster

"I-I can't." I guiltily say

"Why not?" He asked as I bit the inside of my cheek

"I—"

"Man you ain't no fun, bye." He cut me off before hanging up

Oouuu I can't stand him sometimes!

I sighed looking around

"MAMA!" I shout

"WHAT CHILD?" She shouts back

"I need help." I say lowering my voice

____________

"But baby—" My mama sang along to the radio as I looked out the window

"Whenever you call me, I'll be there." She cheerfully sings as I lightly hum

My thoughts then drift to Bobby

Every time shit doesn't go his way he just leaves.. Doesn't even stick around to talk shit out.

"Y/n why are you not singing? I thought you liked The Spinners." Mama glanced at me

"I'm not in the mood." I mumble still looking out the window

"Oh lighten up a little, you're gonna get to see Tyka and Charles and Pr—"

"I know mama." I frown crossing my arms
