Spot groaned as he heard his alarm going off.

"Here we go again" He mumbled.

It was the beginning of September and he had to go to school. He got ready for school and opened the front door to go to school a bit earlier than usual when something on the doorstep caught his eye.

It was a rose.

Spot looked confused as he picked it up, looking around to see if anybody was still there. The street was empty. Then he saw that there was a small note attached to the rose.

'Peach colored roses stand for sincerity, genuineness, gratitude, and sweetness. Thank you Spot for being there for all of us when something is going on with our life. Love '

The note read. Spot looked at the rose and a small smile appeared on his face as he walked back inside.

He quickly took out something to place the rose in. He filled it with water before going back to his room and placing it on his desk before rushing down again to get to school.

Once he arrived he saw that Race and Albert were already there.

Race and Albert.

Spot's crushes, at first he was so confused how he could like two boys at a time but that was figured out with a few quick google searches. Then it was just the fact that they could never like him like that.

He made his way over to Race, Albert and the other newsies, sitting next to Elmer as he joined their conversation about which Hogwarts house was the best.

The discussion was still going on as the first bell rang notifying everyone to start walking towards their class. Spot walked towards his first class which he shared with none of the other boys and took his seat in the back.

As the class dragged on, Spot's mind wandered back towards the rose and the note. Who could it have possibly been? The note had been typed out so he couldn't look at the handwriting of it.

And he couldn't name one of the boys who was single and even could have interest in him. It could also be one of the random girls at school who didn't know he was gay. And that was everyone, not even the newsies knew.

His parents weren't too acepting and he heard that loud and clear when he had told them about Albert and Race while he had been talking about his friends. They had told him how disgusting it was and Spot had argued back how love was love.

After that he never had the same relationship with his parents. Not that they were really ever home, most of the time the two of them were either on a business trip or on a vacation.

He had never minded this, he had time for himself and that was all he needed. But he was scared what would happen if he came out as gay to anyone at all.

But no one except the newsies knew where he lived he came back to his first thoughts. His thoughts were cut short by the bell ringing signaling the lesson was over.

The rest of the day passed by slowly but at the same time before Spot knew it the day was finished. Once he arrived home he saw a note on the fridge.

'Sorry we had another business trip we'll be back in three weeks'

Spot sighed as he read it but didn't mind either. He took a drink from the fridge before going upstairs to start on his homework.

As he sat down at his desk he took another look at the flower.

Then he facepalmed to himself as he saw that he had failed to see this morning that the flower was fake. He quickly got rid of the water and set the flower back down on his desk.

Then he started his homework.

~~~
It had been around two weeks since Spot had gotten the Peach rose and almost completely forgot about it.
He again woke up not all too excited about school. Why would he be excited to listen to teachers dragging on about things he didn't care about.
As he went downstairs he looked at the note he didn't take off the fridge yet. His parents would come home in a week and he knew that he would have to tell them sooner or later that he liked boys. So he took out his phone.
"They can't do anything as long as they're away" He said to himself.
He had thought about it for the past two weeks and he had to tell his parents he was gay. It was who he was and there was no changing in that.
He had typed the text out but once he was about to send it he deleted it.
"Someday" He whispered as he walked towards the door, having the sudden urge for some fresh air.
He opened the door and went outside. He took a few deep breaths and looked over the street, in the distance he swore that he saw two figures running away.
Then in the corner of his he spotted something blue.
It was another rose, in the exact same place as the one from two weeks ago.
With a small note attached to it.
'Blue colored roses stand for mystery or attaining the impossible. You will always be a mystery to figure out. What's going on in your head no one knows. And you make it impossible to read your face. Someday someone will figure out what's going on in your head. Love'
Spot smiled as he looked back at the rose. He walked back to his room and placed the blue rose next to the peach one.
Spot's mind went back to thinking who it could be. It almost had to be someone he knew.
But then again all his friends were in a relationship. It was an endless circle in his mind.
Then his mind wandered back towards the two figures he had seen running. He didn't notice anything that he could recognize in them.
So that wasn't going to help him at all.
"Where is this going" Spot mumbled to himself.
