My eyes were drawn to the shiny golden metal in her hand.

The clear stone clawed to it reflects the light from the sun. A different array of colors bounces from it. Words are not enough to describe it as it sits on her finger looking so breathtaking.

The ring fits perfectly on her ring finger.

My eyes trailed back to hers when she cleared her throat. I don't know what's running inside her mind but one thing's certain. She's not pleased to see me.

Well, the feeling's mutual.

The sides of her lips twitched when our eyes met.

She clutched the strap of her black sling bag before looking at Tyler.

"I'll go get some apple.", Tiffany told Tyler before she took a final glimpse at me and left us.

I swallowed the big lump in my throat. I don't want to be involved with them. I think meeting Tyler is a mistake.

It's bringing back old bad memories. And bringing back people from our past.

Tyler looked at me and his brows furrowed.

"Are you okay? You look pale.", he said and was about to touch my forehead but I took a step back.

I won't let his hand touch me. That won't fucking happen.

He's married and He shouldn't be touching other woman's foreheads. What would his wife feel if she saw us? I just know Tiffany would surely throw a fit.

"Uh, yeah.", I murmured and averted my gaze. "I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

"Are you sure?", he asked again and took a step closer.

As an automatic response, I took a step backward. That resulted in a few lines on his forehead. He was about to open his mouth when I decided to go.

"I'll get going. Thanks for this!", I said and lifted the paint roller he picked for me.

I turned my back on him. I heard him call my name but I did not bother to look back. Why am I feeling like I'm getting involved with their circus again?

Once is enough.

I'm not the same fool seven years ago.

I went straight to the counter. Thankfully, no customers are in line. It only took me two minutes to bag all the things I bought and pay for them.

I dashed out of the convenience store. Leaving them behind.

I still can't believe it.

He married Tiffany. He did!

Ha. I knew it. He likes Tiffany during high school and was fooling around with me. I should have known better.

I went straight back home after that. I need to finish painting the walls and also wait for the plumbers to fix the sink in the kitchen. After checking all that needs to be fixed, I think we overpriced the house a bit.

I didn't know there are a lot of things that needs to be done. Even the roof has holes in it.

Sunny said she was going to help me but it's been half an hour and she's still not here.

She's also not answering my calls so I wonder where she is.

I decided to start without her.

I finished painting white all the walls in the living room after two hours. It's the first coat and would need to apply the second coat before I could proceed with applying the caramel color. I still need the paint to dry before I could apply the second coat.
