Maybe it's the way the wind blows through your hair as you speed down the open road. Maybe it's the way that the stars shine overhead with no clouds to stand in their way. Maybe it's the feeling of freedom and the distant mountains that make it feel like a fairytale.
The way I can hold my hands up and just breath in as the car speeds down the road and watch as the green rolling countryside just whizzes by.
Or maybe it's the way his hands grip the steering wheel, and the way each tattoo on his arm have a meaning. It could be the way he smiles when I look so happy sitting next to him as he drives through the night.
"Baby." We came to our favorite spot, the place where we had our first picnic, our first date, and our first kiss.
"Hmm?" I turned to him and saw him smiling.
"I love seeing you so happy." Was all he said as he twirled me around in the air. The soft breeze blew through his blonde hair, his eyes were a stormy blue, and he had the most beautiful smile.
"Me too." I kissed his forehead. He set me back down on the ground. We spun around and finally he stopped, we were both out of breath.
"I have something to ask you." He gripped my hands in his, his cold rings brushing against my knuckles.
"What is it?" I smiled. I watched as he looked up and I followed his gaze to the stars above us.
"Will you marry me?" When I looked down he held an open box with a softly glittering ring. I couldn't speak as my eyes watered, so I just nodded and he gave a soft smile and hugged me.
"Yeah." It came out a little squeaky, and my throat felt closed.
"It's okay, love." He ran his fingers through my hair, and ran his fingers up and down my spine. "I've got you now." His voice was so soft.
"I love you." I said, leaning my head back as he leaned in completing the kiss.
"I love you too."
