I caught myself staring at this beautiful dark haired girl. She had a pair of earbuds in and a cup of peppermint hot chocolate sitting in front of her. She orders the same drink every day no matter how cold or hot it is out. The only thing different today is the book she's reading.
I couldn't help but watch her as she flipped another page and she titled her head slightly before taking another sip of her hot chocolate.
She lifted up her head and I quickly looked down at the boring newspaper I had in front of me. It was the same headline and story everyday. "Billionaire Son Inherits Father's Business"
I looked back up at the woman again and noticed the name on her cup. Kadence? My heart almost skipped a beat. Her name was beautiful. Unique. Different. When I snapped out of my daze and string of never-ending compliments...I realized she was now staring right at me. I felt heat creep up onto my cheeks.
I glanced down at the coffee cup in front of me and when I looked back up she was holding up a newspaper with my face on it under the same annoying headline. I sighed and stood up before walking over to her.
"Are you stalking me?" Those were the first words I've ever heard out of her mouth. I was already in love with her voice even if the question is a little questioning.
"No I didn't mean-"
"It's okay." She laughed a little before giving me the most the most gorgeous smile I've ever seen. I melted right on the spot.
"You're beautiful." I blurted out and quickly looked out the window I could already see my blush in my reflection in the window.
"You're quite handsome." I heard her say quietly. I turned to her and her cheeks were probably the same shade of pink as mine were.
"Can I get your name?" Again? I asked in my head.
"It's Kadence, but I get the feeling you already knew that." She rubbed her fingers over the rim of the lid on her cup.
"It's a beautiful name." I said softly. She finally looked back into my eyes and had a soft smile on her face.
"It may sound a little creepy but you're name is Zayn. I mean it's everywhere." She said nervously, then she started biting her lip.
"It's okay, I'm sure it is. It's kind of embarrassing that I can't even introduce myself to you though." I managed. My heart couldn't stop beating and I swear it was picking up speed.
"Well maybe we can get a movie night somewhere...." She trailed off clearly embarrassed.
"You want to have a movie night at your place?" I asked and she gave me a slight nod and her cheeks still stayed rosy.
"I mean we can give each other our numbers first if going to someone else's house sounds weird or-"
"It sounds great." I said interrupting any doubtful thing she was about to say. She nodded and looked into my eyes and I couldn't help but give her a soft smile.
She's definitely the one.
