Maybe it was the way his body moved in the water, the way he seemed to just be so graceful. The way he could swim faster than everyone else. The way his backstroke was so elegant. I couldn't take my eyes off of him.
Than I turned to see the blonde girl he had brought with him. I don't care to remember her name but it would be awkward to cheer for a guy who's not even on your team and next to his girlfriend on top of it.
I watched as he finished his 100 meter, and turned away from the pool. His teammates cheered for him and I couldn't help but smirk.
"Go blondie." I said quietly. I headed towards the other side of the pool deck, my event was next but all I could think about was how bright his girlfriend's smile was, and how beautiful she was.
"Let's go! We're up soon!" One of my teammates yelled at me. I fixed my goggles and turned to see him holding her by the waist.
