The Zombie Mines

Sonic, Jesse, and friends continue to follow Stella down the hallway until they reach another room.

Unlike the Mush Room, this one is lit only by red Redstone lamps while posters of zombie heads and swords line the walls.

Above the group, minecarts can be heard rumbling past while the sounds of fighting can be heard from below.

While everyone looks around, Stella turns to face Jesse and says,

Stella: Welcome to the Zombie Mines, Jesse!

Sonic: (looking around) Oh, so THESE are the Zombie Mines. Huh, I can see why that other guy didn't want to come down here.

Jesse: Man... Just when you thought you'd seen it all...

Lukas: (covering his nose) Ugh... Yeah, no kidding... What exactly is this place?

Hearing Lukas' question, Stella replies,

Stella: Well, as you can see, every few minutes, a dozen gross zombies spawn. And the equally gross prisoners or... "guests", as it were dispatch them to collect the zombie flesh, which is...

Sonic looks into the room to see several prisoners eating the Rotten Flesh dropped by the zombies.

Sonic: Just as gross. And not to mention ridiculously stinky.. (pinches nose) Phew!

Jesse: Yeah, we get that part. But... why exactly are they doing this?

Stella: Don't know, don't care. Now get down there and do your job. The zombies aren't going to fight themselves, after all.

To this, Jesse raises an eyebrow and asks,

Jesse: Really? You don't ask questions about WHY they're doing this?

Sonic: He's got a point. I mean, if I was sent down here and was expected to fight zombies or watch over those fighting the zombies, I would definitely want to know why.

Jesse: And if you were sent here, I'm sure you would definitely want to know too.

Stella: Nice try... But your little mind games aren't going to work on me this time. And besides, you all brought this on yourselves.

Sonic: (whispering) Mainly because we wanted to be sent here...

Stella: (walking over to Lluna, who's wearing a black associate's hat and a dark purple scarf) You know, I really don't get it. You could have just joined the Admin and never had to suffer for a second. But instead, you chose to throw it all in the lava pit.

To this, Jesse replies,

Jesse: Except that I never wanted what the Admin was offering me.

Sonic: None of us wanted it. Or any of this either.

Jesse: All we wanted was to be able to do what's right and keep Beacontown safe.

Stella: So you say. And speaking of which, I really wouldn't continue to meddle in the Admin's plans, if I were you. You really wouldn't like how things would turn out if you did.

Sonic: (crossing his arms) In other words, you don't want us to cause any more trouble down here.

Stella: Exactly. But if you do... I'll make sure that all of you get sent to the maximum security cellblock... With her.
