"Oi Jamesy! Get your fat arse here!" Sirius Black's voice echoed through the gigantic drawing room present in the Potter's manor.

"I thought I told you to not call me that," James grumbled as he entered the room. "What happened?"

"I found something here. It's addressed to dad. Where is he?" Sirius asked when James appeared.

"I dunno, probably on his study. Where's mum? She said she'll come to Lily's with me," James peered around the room, searching.

"You finally got the girl Prongs," Sirius grinned, patting his best mate on the shoulder. "Took you about 7 years and a million rejections."

"Oi shut up," James scowled. "Anyways," he raised his voice as Sirius started laughing. "We really should try to find them. Let's check the study, shall we?"

"I think you're spending too much time with Lily, Prongs," Sirius said in mock seriousness.
"Are you just going to had dad the letter over? Without even knowing who it's from?"

"It's his private matter Sirius," James stated. "And Lily has changed me for the better."

At this Sirius guffawed.

"Fine," he consented. "But just let me have a peek, to satisfy my curiousity."

As soon as he slit open the envelope, while simultaneously trying to keep James's snatching hands away, a puff of blue smoke was registered, and Sirius now had a splendid white beard, just like Dumbledore. To add insult to the injury, his luscious black hair was also white.

"That's why I tried to stop you mate," James chortled, earning a dirty look from a very disgruntled Sirius. "You look absolutely spiffing Sir Sirius. But I'm sure dad'll be able to fix it."

"That what are you waiting for?" Sirius ran off towards Fleamont's study.

"Oi! Wait for me mate!" James ran after Sirius haphazardly, almost knocking over Euphemia's favourite vase.

"I haven't received anything from him Effie, what if something wrong has happened?" Fleamont Potter sighed, kneading his forehead.

His wife, Euphemia Potter, put a comforting arm around him. "I'm sure nothing's wrong Monty," she said warmly, trying to ease her husband's nerves. "I know he's your best friend, but have some faith in him. He won't let himself be caught."

Fleamont nodded slightly, but was not fully convinced. "I should owl him Effie. To check if everything's alright," as he moves towards his owl, his door is flung back, and Sirius and James rush into his study.

"Knock on the door boys! It's impolite to barge in like that," Euphemia scolded her sons.

"Sorry mum,"both chorused.

"Dad," James started excitedly. "Padfoot here was in the drawing room when-"

"I found this sealed parchment addressed to you," Sirius butted in.

"Which resulted in the beard Padfoot now has," James finished, grinning wickedly, while Sirius grumbled.

"There was no need to rub that in."

Fleamont quickly waved his wand, causing the beard to disappear and Sirius to return to his youthful self.

"Thanks dad," he grinned appreciatively.

"Hand over the scroll now," Fleamont said firmly.

James quickly handed it over to his father, who broke open the seal and scanned the text.

"Oh Merlin," Fleamont paled. "Effie, you need to read this."

Euphemia Potter took the parchment out of his grasp and read:

FP

Thing have gone downhill here. I am sure that I will die. Our aim has been accomplished and he will be coming soon with it.

Where you gave me the necklace.
May we meet soon if I survive.

OB

"Who does he mean Fleamont?" Euphemia asked. Both James and Sirius had already left as Remus had just arrived.

"I'm quite sure it's his son. He'll be arriving soon. It's almost half past five," Fleamont answered.

"Where did you give his the necklace Monty?" Euphemia asked.

"The kitchens. Let's go now. Quickly!" Fleamont shouted over his shoulder to his wife as he ran down the corridor.
