It's been two months since Severus and Y/N got married in Malfoy Manor. It has been the best two months of the Potions Master's life - he has never been happier.

During these months, they have gotten to know each other better. Well, more than one way.

They have done a lot of activities together, such as brewing potions, reading books and even cooking. Y/N is an excellent cook and has taught Severus a thing or two. He now enjoys cooking rather than just making something quick and easy in order to survive the day.

His favourite part of the day is when he wakes up in the morning next to her, both of them snuggled up together. The sight makes him smile - how her face is resting on his chest or his shoulder, how her arms are wrapped lazily around him.

She once told him in her tired state of mind that he's softer than her pillow - apparently, she hugs her pillow while sleeping. Well, used to. He finds that quite adorable.

Today is the weekend before the term begins. They are headed to some fancy restaurant somewhere neither of them have been to.

They didn't plan this - the Malfoys did. Narcissa and Lucius have invited them to a double date. Of course, having their high standards, they insisted on choosing the location.

Severus rolls his eyes at the thought. Of course it had to be a fancy, expensive restaurant no one has ever heard about...

Once they find the location, they barely get to take a step further towards the door as they are greeted by a waiter.

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Snape. Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy are waiting for you" he says as he opens the door for them, signalling with his left hand that they may enter.

Blinking in surprise, the couple decide to enter. As they do so, they can't help but take in their surroundings. The restaurant is really beautiful - and definitely expensive.

Severus gently drags Y/N with him once he spots Lucius and Narcissa smiling at them.

"There you two are. We were afraid you got lost" Narcissa says as she chuckles.

"We almost did..." Severus mutters.

Lucius chuckles as well. "Well, good thing we didn't need a rescue team, hmm? Sit down, sit down" he tells them as he gestures to the two empty seats in front of him and his wife.

Nodding, Severus pulls out the chair for his wife.

"Thank you, Severus" Y/N says as she smiles at him. Giving her hand a loving squeeze, Severus sits beside her.

Just then, the waiter arrives. "Good evening. What would you like to order?" he asks.

As Severus reads the menu, he widens his eyes. He's not sure what surprises him the most - the fancy, hard-to-pronounce dishes or the prices of them. Y/N looks just as surprised as her husband.

Lucius resists the urge to laugh at their reaction. Rolling her eyes at her husband, Narcissa decides to take the lead.

"All of us will have the same thing," she states as she tells the waiter the name of the dish.
