I woke up early, still tired from yesterday's events, having to deal with the stench of the dead in every fiber of my clothes and every wisp of my hair. I didn't know if I could handle the smell of burning flesh anymore, I was beginning to grow sick of it.

I move to where Shane and Rick were standing listening to what Shane had to say, "Everyone listen up. Those of you with CBs, we're gonna be on channel 40. Let's keep the chatter down, okay? Now you got a problem, don't have a CB, can't get a signal or anything at all, you're gonna hit your horn one time. That'll stop the caravan. Any questions?" Everything that he had said I agreed with, nodding my head.

Morales seems to hesitate on what he wants to tell us as he looks around the group, "We're not going." Everybody remains silent, I looked to him worried. Is he sure about this? Morales' wife then adds, "We have family in Birmingham. We want to be with our people." As if to make us feel better about this, our group has just gotten smaller.

I ignore what is said next, what if I left? I had been on my own before I met Glenn. I could easily go off on my own again, I had the resources, and I could take care of myself. I come back to the conversation hearing Morales wife, "Thank you all for everything." Lori comes up to her and gives her a hug, embracing a friend. Shane shakes Morales' hand, "Good luck, man."

I walk over to them and hug Morales, giving him an encouraging smile and pat on the back. I move to his wife, "You guys be safe, now. We'll miss you." I say as I give her a big hug.

I walk back to Daryl not listening to what Shane and Rick talk about. I look up to him and smile slightly but it's not a genuine smile. "Come on, let's go!" I hear Shane call out to us; I walk towards Daryl's truck getting in. I had placed my bags and other stuff in his car earlier.

We started driving out, I had been staring out the window in silence, not really paying attention to anything. "What did you have to tell Rick and Shane?" he says breaking the silence between us. I didn't really want to tell him scared he'd hate me for not telling him earlier. But I give in looking at him and sighing.
