Chapter # 16

"Hello, Nanami, I wasn't expecting you here," (name) smiled, seeing the blonde man sitting on the plush settee.

Nanami stands and greeted the woman, "it's good to see you again, (Name)." She takes his hand in her, firmly grasping and shaking it.

"Oh my, (Name), you look fabulous today." The white-haired male, who was sitting opposite to Nanami said.

(Name) dismissed his quip.

"Likewise, how is your job coming along?" She asked, "are you getting enough sleep?"

"Well, your fiance likes to ruin not just my working days but weekends as well." Nanami's voice was monotonous as usual.

"Uh, I understand, he is incorrigible and won't take leave unless you give in to his wishes."

"I'm hoping he didn't force the relationship on you." His voice was humorous.

She laughed, "No, but sometimes I seem to regret my decision."

"I'm right here." Gojo waved his arms around trying to get their attention.

"I think I heard something." (Name) pretends to look around.

"Must have been the wind." Nanami set back down, picking up the newspaper laying on the table.

With a scowl, Gojo stands up, "Now, that's unacceptable." He marched towards his fiance.

He grasped her arm and made her face him, "you like to tease me, don't you?"

"Hey, when did you get here?" Her expression turned into one of the mock surprise.

"I was here from the beginning." He glared but his eyes were covered.

"I didn't notice you," her lips were pulled into a small pout.

She laughed at his incredulous utterance and pets his head.

"Am I not allowed to tease you?"

"Whatever," he turned, hiding his bashful look.

He went back to his seat, sulking.

"Sensei!!!" Yuji yelled, running in their direction, "oh, good afternoon, (Name) and Nanamin."

"Sensei, let's go outside and see everyone."

His sulking expression dropped immediately, "we have to make it a surprise."

"A surprise?" Yuji was puzzled.

"Just leave it to me."

"What do I do?"

"You don't have to do anything. Just do exactly as I say, and go with the flow."

Nanami turned the page of the newspaper, "it'll be enough of a surprise to see him alive."

(Name) hummed, "I agree, and I don't think Yuji should blindly follow Satoru. His schemes are least reliable."

"You don't have enough trust in me, (Name) and that hurts." Gojo dramatically left the room with Yuji following behind.

Nanami and (Name) watched them leave, "I can't believe you agreed to deal with this for the rest of your life, (name)"

(Name) lets out a puff, "he does have some good perks?"

"You sound confused," Nanami felt as if he has somehow insulted (name)'s choice so he adds, "I comprehend why you'll like someone like him."

"You do?"

"He has a lively persona, and you two get along well." He said, still not taking his eyes off of the paper.
