"Maki, are you sure this is a good idea?"
(Name) carefully laid Maki's injured sister on a bench.

"I don't know yet." The girl murmured.

"Maki-please. Why are you so-so desperate to die?" Mai groaned, her eyes were closed as her brows knitted together trying not to focus on the pain.

"Mai," maki set down beside her clasping her blood-stained hand, "it was inevitable, I made a promise when we were young. I'm keeping that promise."

"Idiot," a stray tear trailed down Mai's eye.
"I just wish to make space in this clan for us and not get chastised for not reaching their shitty standards." Maki squeezed her hand, "I need you to be by my side, Mai."

"If this is the last time we are seeing each other, Maki, I'm sorry. If only I was strong enough to stand up for you."

Maki smiled, "it's my job to stand up for you, after all, I'm older."

"(Name)," Mai called her. (Name) was barely listening to them as she was deep in her thoughts. "(Name)?"

Her train of thoughts came to a halt, "yes?"

"Promise me," Mai started, "if Naoya wins this duel, I want you to end him."

"What?" (Name) raised her brows at her bluntness.

"Mai, you can't just ask her to kill him."

"Why can't I? I'm sure (Name) hates him, and killing him will only bring prosperity to this Clan. The only thing he has done after becoming the head is either boss others around or bring random women in, that he was previously forbidden to do so."

"Mai, I understand you despise him but... I can't kill." (Name) shook her head, before Mai could argue further (Name) turned her attention to Maki, "can I borrow your phone?"

"Of course," Maki placed her smartphone in her awaiting palm.

(Name) dialed a number, "Shoko, it's me (Name). Yes, Maki is okay don't worry nothing happened, but Mai is not. She is injured, and we need your service at this Zenin residence." There was a brief silence, "thanks a heap, Shoko. We'll be waiting." (Name) ended the call.

"Shoko is on her way here," Maki sighed, looking at the clock, "it's time for me to battle Naoya."

"Good luck, sister." Mai was resting her arm over her eyes, she didn't look at her twin.

"Take care, and don't worry. I'll be here with Mai."

"Thank you, (Name)"

A lot of time has passed since Maki left to fight Naoya, Mai was knocked out on the bench due to blood loss. (Name), after changing her wound dressing, was pacing anxiously around the little hallway.

"(Name)?" She was startled, her hand reaching for her weapon. When she saw Shoko standing there with a leather bag.

"Thank goodness," (Name) visibly relaxed, her hand falling to her side. Shoko didn't take time and ran to the injured girl, "she is cold and lost a lot of blood. But don't worry she'll live."

"Thank you for coming on such short notice, Shoko."

"Don't mention it, it's my job." Shoko looked at (Name) from the corner of her eye, "I'll take care of her from here, I can tell you are needed elsewhere."

"Thanks again, Shoko."

(Name) sprinted towards the setting of the duel, the Zenin clan and associated members surrounded the little space.
(Name) pushed them aside, she didn't care if she was being rude or condescending to these men. If only her father or Uncle were here to witness her kicking these people aside.
