(Name) was getting tired of fighting one battle after another, the volcano-head was already knocked to the side, "I am getting sick of your shallow attacks, Sukuna. I know you can do better than that."

"Oh, I know I can but what's the fun in that?" He placed his hands over his hips, "I want to savor our last battle."

She rolled her eyes, "It's a battle, Sukuna, not a full-course meal."

"But it is. I was imprisoned for a thousand years, you don't understand the thrill of finding a worthy opponent after that long and a woman at that."

She laughed, "you are not technically free, you are still imprisoned in Itadori's body."

He grinned, attacking her again with his slashing attacks that she dodged, "I will be,"

"Keep dreaming as long as I am alive, you will not see the freedom you so much desire." She threw her knife aiming for his pressure points.

He tapped his chin, "for a second in sorcerer ranks, I wonder why you use these toys." He reflected on the knives, smirking.

"Because I love seeing my enemy's dripping blood, it makes me happy from inside." She said, with a monotone voice.

"That's something we have in common." The king of curses was also tone-deaf as well.

"We are not alike, Sukuna." She grabbed his arm twisting it as it made satisfying cracking noises.

"But we are."

"I don't kill innocents just for the fun of it!" His smirk was getting on her nerves.

"You kill people when it benefits you, I do the same." He raised his brows, his lips pulled into a grin, "we are not different."

"I'll die before becoming someone like you!"

"Then die." He started cackling like the maniac he was.

"What---"

Megumi Fushiguro was woken by an explosion, the whole building trembled making the glass windows shatter.
"What the hell?" He recalled the events and how he ended here. Gojo was sealed and they were in Shibuya fighting curses, after fighting a particular tough sorcerer they were attacked by another curse user and a curse. He and Yuji got separated when fighting and he was beaten, (Name) showed up as he was just about to knock some sense into the guy with two coconut trees as pigtails.

"Shit, she knocked me out and left me here." He stumbled, grasping the wall for support, "where is she?"

"Gotta find her and Yuji."

Megumi saw Yuji in a distance, amidst the flames but it wasn't Yuji, it was Sukuna.
(Name) wasn't anywhere in sight, "is she--- no, it cannot happen." He shook his head and summoned a Shikigami.

(Name) can't be defeated, not by Sukuna of all people.

"Glad to see you have joined us finally!"
Came a voice behind him, Megumi turned to punch the king of curses.

"Your footwork needs a serious conditioning." Sukuna knocked him to his back, Megumi summoned his bunny Shikigami, "are you planning on killing me with these creatures?" Sukuna slashed the poor creatures in half.

"No," an elephant Shikigami fell right on top of Sukuna, "fast but not fast enough." He was right beside him, kicking Megumi off of the elephant.

"Damn it." He whispered under his breath, "he is faster and stronger than last time."

"That I am!" Sukuna went to sit on a boulder, crossing his legs, "you must be dying to know what happened to that sorcerer bitch."

"I don't know who you are talking about!" Megumi's Shikigami attacks were useless against him.

"But you do." Sukuna placed a hand under his cheek, slightly tilting his head, "let me indulge your curiosity, she is dead!"

Megumi looked up at the king of curses, his grin widening at his shocked expression, "I killed her, burned her to a crisp."

"You are lying!" This is the worst-case scenario Inno and Nanami we're scared of.

"Why would I lie? I am king of curses not king of liars." He jumped off of the boulder, "There is your proof."

In a distance, he can see a body lying lifelessly on the torn ground. Megumi could not believe it, it must be a trick of Sukuna to play with his mind, "it could be anyone's body."

"Go ahead, see for yourself." Megumi ran to the unconscious body, praying it wasn't (Name).
Most of the skin has been burned, he grabbed the shoulder of the figure, "No," Megumi straddled the body, trying to find any signs of her being alive.

Sukuna tched, "she put up a good fight."

He grabbed Megumi by the collar, "now, say goodbye to this world, it's your turn to die."

Everything hurts so bad, but felt numb at the same time. She opened her eyes, she was in the garden at the back of the manor she has grown up in.

"(Name), come in, you'll catch a cold outside!" Her mother yelled.

"Coming, Mother!" She wrapped the shawl closely around herself, shivering at the crisp cold air.

"Mother, what is the occasion? Why are the servants setting up all these sweets?" She asked.

"Dear, you've already forgotten? Your betrothed is visiting today." She flicked her daughter's forehead.

"My betrothed?" She was puzzled.

"Seriously, (Name), you need memory-enhancing supplements before you reach your sixties." Arshi whispered, "I can smuggle some from grandma's room."

"Arshi, will you please be more specific about all of this?"

"If you insist, Gojo and fam are visiting." Arshi bit a cupcake.

"Arshi! No sweets till the guests are here."

Arshi ran with the cupcake, closely dodging the spatula that was thrown her way but caught by (Name).

"Thanks, (Name)!" She disappeared, as (Name)'s mother swore.

"Here is your weapon of choice, Mother." She smiled.

"Thanks, dear."

(Name) was walking back to her room but the noise coming from the flock of peacocks stopped her. She glanced outside, there was a shadowy figure standing outside, observing the Peacocks.

She unconsciously walked towards the silhouette.

"What are you doing outside?" She said, "you'll catch a cold you know."

The man turned to face her and smiled, but didn't answer.

"Have we met before?" He flicked his platinum-white hair.

"Of course, we are married."

"I'm sorry. What are you talking about?" The man took off his glasses, there was familiarity in his eyes that she couldn't pinpoint.

He stopped inches away from her and pulled her into a hug, securing her in a place, "get of off me!"

She struggled, "(Name), your time isn't over yet." He kissed her forehead. She froze, looking at the brilliant eyes of the man, "I don't know when I'll see you again. But I'll be looking forward to it."

He placed his forehead gently against hers and closed his eyes, "I don't think I've ever told you this before... But I love you." Her heart skipped a beat or two.

"What---" his hand plunged into her abdomen, she looked at the man with a horror-struck face.

"I'm sorry." He hugged her, he pulled out his hand, a stream of blood bathing the freshly cut grass, he gave her a remorseful look, "sorry you have to go through all of this because of me," blood dripped down her face, straining her clothes.

He let her go, she fell to the ground,  She couldn't breathe, it was too painful,
She looked at the blood-stained grass, "Satoru," the name trembled from her lips as if she has said that umpteenth times before
His smile dropped, backing away from her, "Wake up, (Name), because if you die here, everyone is doomed." The man disappeared as (Name) fell in darkness.
