Chapter # 21

(Name) slid her back on the stone wall, her breath erratic and uneven. She felt frustrated, she wasn't strong enough. A voice mocked her, decrying her skills as a sorcerer.

Her hand disappeared in the compartment embedded in her weapon holder. Her fingers softly grazed the cube that was containing her husband. She took it out, observing the square. It was warm to touch and she can sense his essence inside.

She sighed and placed it back inside the compartment, "I promise, Satoru, you won't be staying in there longer."

She stood up, a determination coursing her. She will save her husband and bring him back no matter what it takes.
'Even if it means losing--- losing my own life in the process.'

"NANAMIN!" She heard a very familiar voice yell from a rooftop. She sprinted towards him, scaring him in the process.

"(NAME)! Are you alright!" The pink-haired boy asked, looking concerned for her.

"What can happen to me?"

"We are here too, idiot." He was whacked on the back of his head by Megumi.

"Are you guys alright?" She looked over all of them, looking for any injured teammate.

"Yeah, we are well. for how long, Don't know." Arshi looked her over, "(Name), your arm is burned."

(Name) glanced at her arm, "oh, I didn't feel it." In a moment it was healed.

'So cool and tough!' The young duo consisting of Inno and Itadori thought.

'Show off.' Thought Megumi.

"(Name), you were there were you not?"

"Where?"

"When Gojo Sensei was sealed!"

"Yeah, but how did you know?"

"I---"

"GOJO IS SEALED!?"

"Yeah, that's true. He is sealed."

"What now?"

"Shouldn't we rescue Gojo Sensei?"

"No need to rescue anyone, he is right here." (Name) showed them the cube.
The students gasped in amazement and Nanami fixed his glasses.

"Our top priority should be getting this out of here."

"It's no use to get it out, as long as we don't know how this works or what it takes to unseal the person inside."

"We need to capture those curses, they were in the subway just a while ago but they must have moved."

"But how?"

"From what I can tell through my sense, they are not together anymore but pinpointing their exact location is difficult."

"Arshia and I are going after the curses as all the other sorcerers are going there as well." Nanami said, "(Name), your duty must be to get that out of here as soon as you can." He turned to the teenagers, "Inno, Kusakabe, and Supreme sorcerer Zenin should be inside the curtain as well. If you meet them, explain the situation and ask for their help. I'm leaving these two in your care." He glanced at Itadori and Megumi, "the curses will come to retrieve the prison realm, don't let them have it, (Name)." Nanami walked away with Arshi following behind.

"GUYS," the boy with the beanie looked ecstatic, "before we start the mission, let's make sure you understand its importance." He held out two fingers, "two things will happen if Gojo disappears. Number one! The Gojo family will fall from power."

Itadori blinked confused, he held up his hand, "isn't (Name) technically a member of Gojo family?"

"Good point!" Inno tapped his chin, "But she is married in the family, most sorcerer families won't accept her as she is an outsider. Leading to a tug-of-war between sorcerer households to be at the top."

"Oh."

"So, think of all those people who will become a nuisance to authorities and in a worst-case scenario, might be killed!" He held two fingers up, "number two! The balance of power will collapse!"

"No, it won't. As long as I am here." (Name) who has been patiently listening to Inno said.

"(Name), how did you get here?!"

"I never left."

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice a woman standing beside him."

"But! It hasn't collapsed, just shifted."

"And if anything happens to (Name), it will be the start of a war. A war we are sure to lose."

"That's what I and Nanami think. In the worst-case scenario, we will get into a war between Curses and Sorcerers. The chances of us winning are very slim."

"What if we lose?"

"The age of humans will, at least in Japan, come to an end." (Name) muttered.

"That's right!" Inno added, "it will endanger other societies."

"Including all the people in (Native country)"

"So, what are we waiting for?" Itadori punched the air.

"Let's get to it. We'll destroy the curtain before Nanami comes back."

"(Name)?"

"I'll follow you for now."

"Of course." Inno said, as he gave her a bow, "it's an honor to work alongside you!"

(Outside S.Shibuya tower.)

"Are you sure you can take on all these transfigured humans inside the tower?" Itadori asked.

(Name) smiled, "No worries, I'll be fine just give me about ten minutes."

"You know my Shikigami can carry us all up there?"

"I'm a bit uncomfortable with the idea and flying on a bird, sorry."

Megumi exhaled through his nostrils, "Alright, we'll be waiting for you up there."

"Of course."

(Name) reached the final floor of the Shibuya tower, she cleaned most of the transfigured humans from the main hallway.

"The perpetrator should..." She stopped, "...be right here."

She bent her knees, gathering as much inertia, and jumped. The old woman standing there was surprised as she was slammed into the concrete.

"What?!"

"NAME!" She looked at Inno, who was currently being choked by a tall muscular man with dark hair.

She didn't waste time in throwing a knife at the man that he surprisingly, dodged.
'Fast reflexes, huh.'

The man threw Inno away like a rag doll, (Name) catch him midair.

"Are you alright?"

"I think I'll live for now."

(Name) felt a grip around her throat, "I'll have to say, you are fast, sorcerer."
His thumb was crushing her windpipe as she was lifted in the air.

She threw her knife, missing him by a few inches, "missed me." His lips pulled into a snarl.

"I wasn't aiming for your face." The man stumbled, letting go of her.

"That was a dirty trick." He, without hesitation, pulled the knife out of his back.
The man was not a sorcerer, she can't sense it in him. but he was surely very strong and swift on his feet.

"Grandson, finish her." The old lady ordered.

"I'm not your grandson, old hag!" He shouted.

"But I summoned only Toji Fushiguro's body info---" Before (Name) can stop him, the old lady was thrown off of the roof.

"It's now me and you sorcerer," he sprinted in her direction, "killing sorcerers has never been quite the fun!" He chuckled maniacally.
She can sense this non-sorcerer was going to be a nuisance.
