Sora decides to land his ship just outside of the first village he saw. When he got out of the ship, several people walked up to him, curious about him and his ship.
"Who are you? What is this that you came from, why are you here?" A man said, all about twenty of them had tan skin, Sora read the thoughts of them, and recognized him as their leader.
"I am Sora Kitijima, mage king of the empire, we have come from a different world." He says, and points to his home world. "I have come to ask you to join us. As a new place in the empire, we will grant you access to resources, advanced technology, build you better homes, and teach you in the ways of magic." He says, then he sparks a fireball in his hand, the villagers look in awe as he smothers the fireball in a splash of water, then absorbs the water with a rock, then covers the rock in a tornado, heating up and thus cancelling the tornado with fire. The villagers seem very impressed at his work. Then the leader speaks up.
"What about our people, how can we trust you as a leader?" He asks Sora. He looks at him, and smiles.
"You will be able to maintain your own hierarchy, you will lead your own lives, and people you trust will still lead you, however we will instill multiple military outposts and a central base across the planet, for security of threats against the empire, and thus your people. We will also have multiple posts around the world, one in each city, to keep your planet updated on events happening that affect the whole empire. The only truly intrusive thing is we will have a representative on each world to keep your rule in check, to ensure no leader abuses power, and no unfair laws are created, and we will also add some of our own laws we deem essential to have." Sora explained, the leader looked like he wanted to accept his request, and then he spoke.
"I am Coro, leader of our village, I want to accept your invitation, but I must speak to the elders to gain their approval, until then, explore the village, live our life for a while, and see where you can improve it, if we join." He says. If you say no, we could use force, and your lives will not be so well, until you learn to accept us. Sora thought to himself, but didn't say it, as he was confident he left a good impression. He quickly goes into his ship to notify Chino that negotiations are going well, after he went into the village. Quite nice, he thought, he looked around at the buildings, made mostly from wood, with bases made from it seems a clay brick, carvings of the sun and dragons, they seem to worship the large fire in the middle, he noted.
Meanwhile, in the grand archive, Alastair is writing vigorously, every detail he could possibly take note of, he did, Breeze stared at him with a hint of fear at how dedicated he is to his work. Urzael walked into the room, blinked at the already large pile of papers with surprise, and went to Breeze's side.
"Let me guess, you got bored of the adventure and since it's pretty peaceful you won't need to be there?" Urzael asked.
"Yep. So, how many pages do you think he'll write?" Breeze asked.
"At least two thousand, when he really focuses, he really writes fast." Urzael replied, Alastair didn't even look up to say anything. Urzael looks through the monitor to see what Sora does. That village seems unfamiliar, probably new, do they worship the fire? Interesting.. Urzael thought to himself. He decided to put himself into what seems like stasis to go deep into his mind to think in silence. Breeze couldn't possibly comprehend what the topic would be, to go that deep into his mind.
Urzael was wandering the halls of the same ruins, the citadel in the sky, on a floating island on some distant planet. He walked along a cracked stone path with broken walls surrounding him, he looks up and sees the balconies of the upper levels, most wrecked and fallen down to form the piles of rock surrounding him. What has happened to this place? He asks himself, before he could go down the path around the island down to the lower area, the vault. He walks through the cracked door and sees the atlas of space, still there. Urzael contemplates revealing the second step of immortality, as even Sora hasn't gained enough energy to do so, and probably never will.
Only those connected to the arcane Heart Directly could possibly survive the Atlas of Space. Urzael thinks to himself, he feels as if he's being watched, he teleports back to the archive.
"I'm still bored out of my mind, jeez, why do I have to be here?" Urzael groans out, Alastair finally looks up from his work.
"Mostly because you are actually important to the empire, believe it or not, third seat." Alastair tells him. Urzael raises an eyebrow and says nothing. Finally through the monitor Urzael sees Coro walking out of the tall building.
"We have come to an agreement, voted four to one, that we will join the empire." He says, Sora sighs in relief that he doesn't have to use force with the first people he meets outside of ground omega.
"Good, that settles it, then. Chino, move the freighter down, we're building an outpost on the mountain over in that direction." He points to the tallest mountain to his left. Then, the freighter started to move down to the mountain he pointed to, soldiers start spilling out of the entrance when it lands, moving many materials around. In a matter of minutes, the first planetary outpost was constructed. Sora builds the first news post himself, next to the tall building. After getting the village of Drakomire converted to the empire, Sora moved on to other locations throughout the world.
"How nice, to have as many materials as we could need, and they shared such technology, I never thought something like this possible." Coro told another leader, to which they look up, and frown.
"You let them join us, too easy. We are warriors, Coro. We need to protect our home." They told him. To which he sighs.
"Do you really think they would be so peaceful if we attacked their leader? Look at that giant... Freighter, they called it? How many warriors came from it, more than enough to take us by force. I'd rather not spill blood over something out of our control." Coro told them. They both looked at Sora, walking away from the village, to the next one over, past a few mountains. Sora meets their gaze, and smiles.
