CHAPTER 8

Wonder POV

I thought about it for 3 days and night it's Tuesday night and I'm still thinking about it, tossing over  side to side in my bed , sleep is far from my eyes even after taking the medicines,  it makes me sleepy but not today. I told dad , Amara and Dima  all about this the same day after I came home, Dima and Amara went crazy on the fact that I met Dave and I'll be assisting his Armen Sokolov but later on they all said it was my choice except my dad he has been behaving weird since I told him that I'll be Armen' s PA , he did not looked me in the eyes once but I think it's because he's worried about me , hell everybody is aware of his playboy , rich daddy spoilt son image , it will be really hard to keep him in line, why would he even listen to me?? . I'm desparate for a job, I really want to be independent  now  and the pay is really really good , oh god..I've to tell Dave about my decision tomorrow .

Dave's word rang in my ears and his miserable image ran past my eyes . He is an intelligent man holy heavens he runs a multi-billion dollar company  and if he is sure that I can do this then why not me? I should have this much trust in me,a billionaire is asking for my help at more then reasonable price, then what's wrong.

I was always determined to do things that seemed  impossible to others haven't I  ? So what changed now? Working there can be once in a lifetime opportunity and good for my future...that's it! I've made my decision...I looked at the time and it's really late to call Dave...I should sleep now...

After having delicious breakfast with my dad and telling him about what I think about everything and he encouraging me like always but still not looking me in the eyes  " Dad I'll be fine". I said hugging him " I know you will be sweetheart just do what you want to do , I'm completely fine with everything if it makes you happy". He finally said looking me in the eye and I was sure now ,  I picked up my phone and went to bathroom.You never know when the Amara and Dima missile will land and this is the quietest place in my home, I dialled the number and he picked up at  second call

Dave :  Hello

the same deep voice filled my ears , his voice seems so... familiar, I can't get rid of this feeling that I have heard it before...

Wonder : Hello it's Wonder..

Dave : Ah...Sweetie I guess you have decided.

Wonder :  Yes...

Dave :  Yes to the job or the decision?

He laughed

Wonder: Haha...Yes to both of them...

Dave :  You don't know how much I'm relieved to hear that sweetie, you'll be good for him I know this . 

Wonder :  I hope I will match your expectations . 

Dave : You already have. Can you come to my office today, just for documentation and all ?                     

Wonder : I understand it will be off tomorrow and I definitely took my time. I'll be there by afternoon, Sorry I can't come sooner than that , its a 2 hour drive.           

Dave : No problem sweetie, I'll be waiting, I love talking to you but sadly I have to go now, duty calls 

Wonder :  Me too and it's okay, good day Mr. Dave

I could see him rolling eyes from here  

Dave : It's Dave and good day to you too sweetie

Here I am again in this grand room having coffee with the most richest man after his son,I couldn't believe it when Amara told me this fact last day, I mean his dad is the one who created the company and Armen is richer than him?...

" Here you have to sign these papers". He gave me the papers and I read them thoroughly for half an hour it had non disclosure agreement and many more such things  " Everything is fine but it says I can't resign without a valid reason before a year otherwise there will be legal actions taken ".         

" Sweetie , forgive me for this but dealing with my son can be really hard , I know you'll do great but it's an important step ".  He said looking apologetic and I do understand his point too" I understand , pass me the pen please ". He smiled wide and passed me the pen, here we go....

I finally signed the papers and gave it to him " It's a deal sweetie, you'll be joining in from Monday, an apartment is alloted to you and your family, hope you'll like it and most importantly Thankyou". He said with a wide smile , I thought about the shifting things here but was worried how will I find apartment here this soon he solved this problem but the another problem is that  I don't know how dad will react to this I couldn't muster up courage till now but  I definitely can't do daily up and down here.

As soon as I came home I told everything to dad ,  the hardest part was to tell him about the company's apartment and me shifting but he surprised me when he said he wanted a change too and that he'll be shifting with me to the city, I was on the cloud nine and texted everything about this to Dima and Amara, they already live 15 minutes from the city and dad's workplace is not that far from there too the only backlog is I won't be able to visit Bakery as much as usual but that's okay at least I'll be living close to Dima.

I still don't know what that Armen looks like , I opened my laptop and searched for Armen Sokolov and           " What the actual hell , no connection?? " I tried to switch on the lights but no luck, damn the lights are out . Looks like we'll directly meet on the job Armen, his name is definitely really good,  it rolls out of tongue quite perfectly Armen... I went into deep slumber thinking about my new job and surprisingly the fallen angel.

We spent the whole weekend shifting to the new apartment, it's not complete yet but with the help of Dima and Amara, it was quite fun actually we did the most of it , the apartment already had everything ,  dad even went as far as dancing on the bed when he got here.

" Who knew shifting could be this much fun? " Amara crashed on the couch sighing loudly " Okay everybody pizza is  here come on or I'll eat everything" dad screamed from the kitchen " NO!!!" both Dima and Amara ran to kitchen and I went behind them laughing " He's kidding guys " I said sitting on the chair." No I'm not Wonder , I'm really hungry from all that workout".

We had a good chats and they left early telling me and dad to not do anymore unpacking, go to bed and rest,after all it's my first day at job tomorrow who knows what it entails.
