-Viktor-
I lay in sorrow on Julie's bed. Even if she shared it with that thing, my brother, I could still smell her. I hadn't moved since I found out there was no other way into the realm she had been forced into. My heart ached and I felt like I was in the endless Void once more.
Father walked in and stood at the door, interrupting my mourning. I wish I had my magic. I would show him how I felt. All I did when he looked at me was turn away. It was all I could do. "Viktor, listen to me."
"Never," I hissed in response. "You took away my only love, you sick bastard."
I felt his anger flare up in form of magic emanating from his fists. He pulled me up by my shirt, slightly burning my skin. "The human is to mean nothing to you. This is why I got rid of her, why I made a deal with that man. She is out of the picture so you can pay attention to more important things."
I shoved him away with all my power, which wasn't enough with human flesh. "She means everything! Stop trying to rule my every choice, Father. I love Julie and I will never stop loving her! Nothing is more important than her to me."
Father slammed me back into the bed, my eyes blurring slightly. I cursed my weak form. "She is gone and she cares nothing for you, you foolish child. She only held your twin in her heart."
I ground my teeth and sat up after my vision cleared. "She is not gone. I will get her back and I will show you how much she loves me!"
Father only shook his head. "There is no way to get her back. And you aren't even trying very hard if you are only sitting in this filthy room, crying."
Grandmother walked into the room and stood beside William, giving him a very harsh glare that was like silver fire, then she turned her eyes to me. She didn't address Father again, like he didn't exist to her anymore. She absently wiped at her tear stained cheeks as she spoke to me. "Viktor, I will find a way to get Julie and Vincent back. If you wish to help me in my quest, I will gladly take you with me."
I thought about it for a moment. Grandmother planned to get both of them back. I didn't want Vincent back, but if anyone could even come close to doing this, it would be her. I had to cooperate to get Julie back. Vincent returning with her would only be a minor price that I was willing to pay. Father was wrong and Julie loved me, not that foolish half-blood.
"I will help you in your quest, Grandmother," I finally spoke.
Father turned to Grandmother and looked like he was about to strike her. She made a small, elegant flicking motion with her hand and Father flew into the hallway, hitting the wall so hard, it broke and shook the foundation. "If you interfere, William, I will hurt you," she warned. She had a very animalistic edge to her voice. It frightened me and it wasn't even directed at me.
She motioned for me to follow her, and I did without a word. I would comply with her demands so our quest would be finished as soon as possible. I longed to be next to my true love once again.
