*The Reason*

This is when they were at Anna's house in the country side.

George's P.O.V

We were just laying in front of the fireplace, not talking or anything, just laying in a comfortable silence like we used to. I'd prefer this moment than doing anything else, I sigh in content and pull Anna closer to me before closing my eyes.

"George?"

"Hmm?" I hummed in response.

"I miss doing this with you." Anna said and rub my chest gently. I opened my eyes and look at her already looking up at me with a smile, I smiled back at her before kissing her hair.

"Me too." I replied and we just look at each other. I remove my hand that was wrapped on her waist before positioning myself on top of her. I just stared at her beautiful face, a smile on her lips, happiness emitting in her pale green eyes that is absolutely gorgeous. "You're so beautiful." I whispered making her blush.

"Yeah?"

I nodded. "I love you."

"I love you too." She replied and place her hands on either side of my neck, pulling me closer to her, not breaking eye contact with me. Our nose slightly touch each other when the sky suddenly lit up, I felt Anna froze under me, her hold on my neck hardened and her eyes grew wide with horror as she stared at me. "Anna? Hey, it's oka-" The sky light up again and I winced as her grip on me tightened even more, her tears started falling one after another as her whole body trembles, and when the third lightning strike, immediately followed by a loud thunder, she screamed and tried pushing me away.

"GET OFF OF ME! GET OFF! HELP!" She screamed and push me even harder. "Heeeelp!"

"Hey, hey, Anna, it's me." I held her hands as an attempt to calm her down, but it only made her scream even more.

"NO! PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" She snatch back her hands and lay down on a fatal position, covering her ears and her eyes were tightly close. "James." She whispered. "James, help me."

I just stared at my wife in shocked and confusion, what the hell is going on? it took me minutes before I reached out to my phone and quickly dialed James.

"Hey George, what's up?"

"Hey James, I um, it's Anna." I said nervously, trying not to panicked.

"Did something happened? Is she okay?" He ask worriedly.

"There was a sudden lightning and, and she just started screaming." I explained. "Screaming to not hurt her and she's calling you for help. What is going on James? What should I do?" I ask helplessly.

"Damn it!" I heard him exclaimed. "It's been so long since that happened, can you tell me what exactly happened before the lightning?"

"We were just about to kiss." I admit.

"And you're position was exactly hovering over her. What great fucking timing." I heard him grumble before hearing an engine start. "Wrap her in a blanket and just be with her, don't touch her George. I'm on my way." He ordered before the line cut off.

I stared at my phone and then to Anna before I sigh and hurriedly pick up the blanket and brought it back to where Anna is, she is still in fatal position, not moving an inch, I thought she fell asleep, but when the blanket touch her, she flinch and then I heard her sob again. I sat back on the floor next to her, wanting to do something that would help her, but I might make it worse by doing a wrong move. So, I just sat there with a heavy heart.

I never felt so useless my entire life until right this moment. It hurts to see the love of your life suffer and you have no idea what to do.

I've known Anna is scared of lightning and thunder and I thought that's that, but I didn't know it's was this severe and now I am well aware that there's even more to it.

I didn't know how long we've been in this position until I just heard the door open and James hurriedly kneel down next to Anna, while Harry closed the door and went to the kitchen.

"Hey." He said in a silent voice and slowly touch Anna's shoulder. "Hey pumpkin, it's me."

Anna opened her eyes and look up at her brother. "James?"

"Yes, I'm here." He said and help her sit up. Anna teared up again and hug James. "You're safe Anna, no one is going to hurt you."

"James, I-I didn't, I-I thought I was over it." She sob.

"We all did, I'm sorry pumpkin." He said and rub her back soothingly. I stood up and went inside the bedroom to give them some space. I sat on the bed and run my hands through my face in frustration.

I look up as I heard the door open and Anna walk in and give me a small smile. I straighten up and reach out my hand to her and she immediately hold on to it tightly and hug me. "I'm sorry."

"No, you have nothing to be sorry for." I said and sat her down next to me. "I should be the one apologizing for not doing anything to help you. I'm sorry."

She just shook her head. "It's okay, to be honest, when I'm in that state, I can only recognized James voice since he was the first one to rescue me."

"So, this phobia of yours about lightning and thunder is not just a simple phobia? I mean, the one like kids being scared of how loud it is and such?"

"With my personality, do you think I would really get scared of that?" She chuckles. "No, it's the memories that scares me, it always flashed before me whenever there's lightning and thunder."

"Do you think it's possible for you to share that burden with me? When you're ready of course." I said and caress her cheek.

"I'm ready."
