It's been a week since Christmas and I can say that everything in my life is going great. My relationship with my parents are greater than ever, our planned project for extending the mall is finally set in motion and Anna, Anna is my everything. Five months ago, if you would've told me that this will what will happen with my life then I would have laugh and call you delusional, but now I am more than happy to be where I am.

"That's all for today. Thank you everyone." I said and meeting adjourned. I went back to my office and started clearing up my desk.

"Is there something else I needed to do Maria?" I ask my secretary without looking at her.

"No sir. That's it for today, though I just want to remind you that the meeting with the restaurant owner for tomorrow was moved at an earlier time. Instead of twelve pm, the meeting will be at ten am, same place." She replied.

"No problem. I'll get going then, thank you Maria. See you tomorrow." I exited my office and went straight to the elevator going to the ground floor. I parked my car outside the mall today because I was in a hurry. As I stepped out of the elevator I greeted all the employees I come across with until I was out of the building. I walk towards my car when I bump into someone. "Oh excuse me, I'm sorry." I said, looking at the lady picking up something.

"No, I should b- George?" She said when she finally look up.

"Margaret? Sorry, I didn't see you."

"Oh it's okay, I wasn't looking either. How are you?" She ask.

"I'm alright. How about you?"

"Not bad. Are you going home now? Let's have some coffee."

"Sorry, I can't. Maybe next time." I said, making her smile drop. She look into the distance before looking back at me.

"I miss you George." She said, surprising me. "Is it really over between us?" She move closer to me.

"Margaret, it's been five months." I said and step back, distancing myself from her. She look into the distance again, narrowing her eyes before moving closer to me again.

"But I still love you." She said pulling my head and kiss me roughly. I hold on to her shoulder shove her away from me. I glared at her but she seems to look into the distance again with a smirk, I turn towards the direction and saw Anna running away. So Anna was there watching that's why she keeps on looking at the distance.

"For fucks sake Margaret! What are you doing!?" I said angrily.

"Trying to ruin your relationship." She answered honestly.

"Why?"

"Because she ruined mine. But honestly though, if you two really break up because of this then I guess you really aren't in love with each other." She shrugged.

"I can't believe you're this low. Now I really started questioning why I fell in love with you in the first place" I spat. Her smile drop for a second time and she look at me with so much guilt and hurt in her eyes.

"Geo-" I opened my car door and went inside, not waiting for whatever she has to say. I started the engine and drove off. All I could think about right now is Anna and what she's feeling. I hastily park my car and ran inside our house, I check everywhere for her before going in our bedroom.

"Anna?" I called. I was about to go in the closet when something caught my eye on the bed. I walk towards it and saw a paper and a brown envelop. My heart was pounding so much as I pick up the paper and unfold it. My blood drained and boiled at the same time reading the content.

Dear George,

Today, I bumped into Margaret and she asked me if we could talk. I agreed, because I also wanted to apologize to her. She told me she still loves you and that you guys are kind of talking again, I didn't believe her because you've never really done anything suspicious so I told her off. I was about to leave when she told me that she will prove to me that it's true. Later that day, I was on my way home when I spotted the both of you in the parking lot and I saw everything.

I love you George, I really do but I can't help but think that maybe Margaret is still in your heart and if that's the case then I will only be on your way. I'm sorry if I'm ending us this way, it's the only thing I know because it would break me so much more if I'm saying this to you in person.

I signed the divorce papers. I love you so much that's why I'm setting you free. All I want is for you to be happy.

Love,

Anna

I crumpled the paper in rage and immediately open up the envelope. Sure enough, she really did sign it making me more angry. I tear the paper in half and throw it in the bin before running down the stairs and to my car. I drove towards her parents house without a care on how fast I am driving, I need to see Anna right away.

I stop with a screech and bang on the door, I didn't wait that long when her brother opened it with a scowl on his face. "George? What's up?" He ask.

"Is Anna here?" I ask and push pass him. "Anna!" I called and went upstairs, to her old room but it's empty.

"What's going on?" James, who followed me, ask.

"Where is Anna?"

"She's not here. Can you tell me what's going on?"

"I- She left. Anna broke up with me." I said and went back downstairs.

"What? Why?" Before I could answer, their parents walk in the living room with Harry and his son.

"I heard shouting. What happened?" John ask.

"It's Anna, she left me. She misunderstood something and just left, leaving a letter and she even signed the fucking divorce papers." I said and plop down on the couch.

"What kind of misunderstanding?" Florence ask, sitting next to me.

I sigh and explain everything to them, not leaving any information behind. They just listen until I finish. James stood up and fish out his phone inside his pocket, trying to call someone before turning it off.

"Her phone is off. Where would she go to?" He ask no one in particular. I can't think of any place that she would go to as well. Where the hell are you Anna?

"This is so out of character. I mean, since when did Anna act hastily like this? What's going on in that girl's mind?" Florence said. She pat my shoulder and give me encouraging smile. "Don't worry George, she'll come back. Just give her some time to think."

That's what I did and all of us never thought that it would take Anna five years before deciding to come back.
