Sleeping really is a great method when you're feeling upset, angry or stress. Now that I'm calm again, I feel bad for shouting at my parents like that and I feel ashamed for showing that side of me to the Parsons. I only acted like that, because George has been ignoring my messages and calls. I just then realize that maybe he regrets what happened between us and I was even more hurt because of it.
I finish eating my eggs and toast before putting the dirty plates in the dishwasher. I went back upstairs to brush my teeth and put some make up on. I decided to go shopping and I want to bring Harry along. I don't want to be alone today and I also need some distraction or I would just get depress again.
I decided to take the escalator and look around the mall that are now full with Christmas decorations. I don't know what it is about Christmas decorations, but it makes me feel giddy and even more excited for the holiday to come. When I arrive at the 6th floor, I went inside our shop and look for Harry. All the employees bow down to me before telling me that Harry is having his break and that he's at the back. I thank them and went to locker room they have in here and sure enough, Harry is eating at the small table while looking at his phone.
"Hi Harry." I greeted and sit at the chair opposite to him.
"Anna! Hi. What are you doing here?" He ask and offering me some of his food.
"I came here to do shopping and I wonder if you can come with me?" I ask hopefully.
"I'd love too, but my break is almost over." He said, making me slouch. "My shift ends at four, if you're still around I can meet you later."
"Really? But, it's still twelve." I said, looking at my watch. "It's okay, the mall is big so I'll be around for long. I'll wait for you, okay?" He smile and nodded. I give him a hug before I left to let him finish eating. I said goodbye to the other employees and started going inside other shops to look around, without a plan on buying stuff. I feel hungry while window shopping so I decided to go eat, but since I'm not in the mood for any of the restaurants that are in here, I went to the parking lot and drive towards Wagamama.
I was about to go in when I saw a very familiar face walking towards where I am. So, I turn back around and hide behind the two men talking at the smoking area. They both look at me with recognition in their eyes. I put my finger on top of my lips, signaling them to keep quiet. I look back at the entrance of the restaurant and there I saw Alice walk out, she puts her hand around the man's arm and smile at him lovingly. I don't recognize the man, but that is not what is important right now. I waited for their car to leave before I step out from behind the two men.
Who is that man and what is his relationship with Alice? A smirk creep up my face and pull out my phone from my pocket, before walking back inside the restaurant letting the waiter lead me to a table.
"Yes Miss Rowthorn?" My secretary answer.
"Find me a private investigator and bring him to me asap, I'm in Wagamama near Parsons mall."
"Right away ma'am."
"Thank you Peter." I said and end the call. "I'm sorry, but could I have a table that is in the corner? I am meeting someone important." I tell the waiter. She smile and lead me to the table on the far right corner where there's no much people sitting. Since I don't know how long I'll wait, I decided to order food and eat up. I was on my dessert when I notice my secretary entering the restaurant with a tall, middle age man following him.
"Miss Rowthorn, this is PI Jones Smith." Peter introduce. I stood up and shake hands with the man.
"Hello Mr. Smith, please take a sit and you too Peter." I said before sitting back down. I let them order food first before going down to business. "So, Mr. Smith. How long have you been a private investigator?" I ask.
