Chapter 31|Guilty concience

We all have awkward moments in our lives. It's like we're destined to have them. Sometimes we wonder if it is normal to have so many but because it is certainly going to break a record or something. Well, Anisa is about to have what is supposed to have what she will like to define as the most awkward moment of her life. As Adnan introduced Alamin as his brother, she had no idea what to say or how to say it. Her brain didn't seem to process the situation. What ever the reason for her frozen state is, it didn't matter at the moment. Alamin was the last person she is expecting to see there, heck! He's not even on the list of people she expecting to see there.

She waited for him to say something, she waited for him to yell and blame her for cheating on him with his brother but none of that came. Instead he did something else that surprised her.

"Hey" alamin greeted. Adnan reached Anisa and wrapped his arms around her waist then rested his chin on her shoulder making her stiffen.

"Don't be nervous" Adnan whispered in her ear. Alamin was really great at hiding his emotions, his face was unreadable, it was like a mask of coldness was covering his face. His shoulders were stiffened. There is no trace of playfulness or arrogance on his face, it is just blank. Why wasn't she saying anything? Everyone was waiting for her to say something but she was just standing there like an idiot. Norah made her a gesture to speak.

"Uhm he...hey" she greeted back nervously.

"Hello" Ahmad and Norah greeted at the same time.

"Hi, how are you?" Alamin asked turning his attention back to Ahmad and Norah.

Awkward moment when your boyfriend introduces you as his girlfriend to his brother who happen to be your other boyfriend...

"Good" Ahmad replied curtly.

"Is Yasir home? I'm thinking of visiting him" Alamin said. Well Anisa managed to push Adnan off her. The guy really don't know when to joke around.

"Yeah he is" Ahmad replied.

"Okay then. Adnan" he called Adnan's attention "I'm going, I can't come and fetch you when you're done so Ahmad should please drop you home. Do you mind Ahmad?" Alamin's eyes were on everything except Anisa. She actually don't expect him to look at her, well not after what she did to him.

"I don't" Ahmad replied grinning from ear to ear.

"Okay, thank you" he said then got into his car. Anisa don't know why but the car looked oddly familiar, it's like she have been inside it before. It's not the amg Alamin used to pick her up from the hospital and from the school, it's a different car. She have never seen him drive it before until that day.

"Bye" they waved at him. Isn't Alamin going to say anything? Or maybe until they return home. Who knows. Anisa's mind still isn't at peace with Alamin's silence. It's always kill a demon today and face the devil tomorrow with him.

"What's wrong with you?" All the three of them asked looking at Anisa with a questioning look.

"What? No-nothing" she trailed off because everyone was looking at her expectantly. Ajmal and Husna are already inside, they said they can't wait for them outside so they should meet inside. Norah raised an eyebrow at her and Anisa knew exactly what that means, fr? We'll talk later.

"You look...anxious" Norah mumbled enough for only her and Anisa to hear.

"Yeah and scared" Ahmad who happened to hear Norah added.

"Nah she look beautiful" Adnan said smiling at her. Anisa gave him a small smile but didn't say anything.

"Why are you acting weird?" Adnan asked as they walk to the VIP side of the cinema.
