Anisa stood in front of her grandparents alongside her cousins, she will be a fool to not know why they were asked by their grandparents to come.
"What are your grades" both grandparents asked at the same time
"I got an A+" Jamila said with a wide smile
"Me too" munira spoke nonchalantly
"I also got an A+" Norah said grinning from ear to ear.
"What about you Anisa" they asked, everybody was looking at her.
"I got a C" she replied with a shrug.
"What" almost everybody shouted at the same time, well except Jamila and Norah since they already know what she got.
"You skipped A+, A, B and even C+" her grandmother spoke disappointedly
"C is not that bad" she know it is because she have never gotten that in her whole life. The reason why she failed this time around is because she never payed attention to any of the tests
"It is" her grandfather replied curtly
"So does that mean I'm going back to California" she hesitated a little before saying what's on her mind
"You failed on purpose just because you want to go back to California?" Her grandfather asked.
"No, I will never do that" she lied. The reason why she didn't pay attention to the tests is because she want to fail, that might anger her grandparents and they will return her back to California but then they promised to let her study in any university of her choice if she passes but it was too late for the news arrived a few days to exams.
"Yes Anisa you did it on purpose" her grandmother sounded so sure
"I'm sorry, I just don't want to stay here. I miss California, I miss my dad and even mother" she cried. She don't know why her emotions are all over the place. She's a cry baby and that is why she don't want to be in a relationship because she can't always be crying over a guy.
"Go to your room" her grandfather ordered. Almost immediately she turned to leave.
"I want to travel to Spain" she heard Jamila say before she left for her room. The girl's maternal family are Spaniard and they live in spain.
Anisa just wouldn't let herself cry so she picked her phone. Two SMS, one from Adnan and one from Alamin and both are saying the same thing.
How was the test? What's your grade?
Anisa decided to ignore both of them, for the day at least.
A few minutes later, Jamila came into the room telling her that their grandparents want to meet her so she headed back to the sitting room.
"We want Jamila to guide you" they both said at the same time.
"What?" She screamed the question out. Now that was unexpected
"Jamila should guide you, she's your mate and she's Science so you're moving to her room" oh not even their house but her room. Could this day get any better. Now she wish she let Adnan tutor her in the first place, at least he's better than Jamila.
"Why?" She asked annoyingly
"Because that's the only way we'll let you go to any university of your choice" they replied.
"I swear this family gets more complicated by the second" Anisa mumbled to herself.
The next one hour, she found herself walking up the stairs of Norah's house to Jamila's room with her back pack behind her, books and MacBook in hand then the maid behind her with a luggage which contains her clothes.
