(Mason watches Rachel walk away and starts to slowly follow after her. The fingers on his right hand grows claws and he starts slowly scratching a nearby tree with his claws as he passes by it)

Mason (singing): There's not a moment to waste

I'm not letting her slip away

How ambitious

Once again I'll finally have a taste

Of the sweetest prey

So delicious...

(Mason suddenly grabs Rachel's right hand from behind and turns her around to face him again. She gasps in surprise)

Mason (singing): Why worry about Granny, dear?

She can wait an hour or two

The sun is bright and the sky's so clear

This a perfect day for you

To forget blasted daddy and everyone

Come on, sweetheart, daylight's awastin'

So many places to go have fun

So many things to be seeing, smelling, hearing, touching... and tasting!

(Rachel gets her hand free and tries to walk away again, but Mason follows her with a sinister look in his eyes)

Rachel (singing): Well I don't know

I wish I could

But I really don't think I should

Mason (singing): It's a big crazy world, my child

People always in such a hurry

Some seem frantic or beguiled

And as long as you're out, why worry?

Your family's holding you back

Forget them all, you just need a friend

Don't focus on one simple track

There's no telling what lies beyond the next bend!

Rachel (singing): I gotta go

Yes, it's still bright

But I should keep going or it'll be night

(Rachel quickens her pace down the path, but Mason stops her again, this time jumping in front of her)

Mason (singing): Are you joking? Don't be a drag!

There are more paths worth exploring

Such behaviors make me gag (grabs Rachel's hand and starts to ballroom dance with her)

And just look what you're ignoring!

(Mason spins Rachel around and she stops next to a large meadow of flowers. She gasps at the sight and kneels down next to the flowers, setting her basket down on the ground next to her. Mason is seen watching her while standing under a tree)

Mason (singing to himself): What a naïve, silly maiden

Trusting and innocent, so sweet

With goodness her heart is laden

A damsel fortunate to meet

(Mason snarls at Rachel from behind and his ears grow bigger and his hands turn into claws again)

Mason: (under his breath) Or should I say EAT. (climbs onto a rock behind Rachel)

(Rachel then notices an oddly shaped shadow hovering over her and she pauses in thought. Mason then jumps off the rock right next to Rachel. She gasps, stands up straight, and stares at him in shock. He straightens up, looking perfectly normal, and offers her a flower he just picked)
