I got up super early just as my boss asked me to, and since I was going to handle two jobs at once I had to look my best, after my shower I dried up and wore a grey short dress that showed my perfect curves and exposed my light brown thin legs, black gucci high heels, straightened my curls and let them fall into a straight Bob that reached my cheekbone , I applied some light make up and grabbed my black leather jacket and handbag then left.

I didn't have time to make some breakfast so I bought myself a cappuccino and boarded a cab that raced me to the company, the driver was really skilled at dodging other cars and in a blink of an eye I was already at my work place, I got off the cab and walked through those glass doors my head held up high as my colleagues stared in awe, I'm sure they must be wondering what happened to me.

I shot them a short smile and headed the elevator that took me to Mr. Salvador's office on the 11th floor, I got out after the elevator doors opened
On my way to his office other workers still stared hard at the new look.
I didn't even mind them, the whispers, the flirty smiles, the glares they all didn't make me budge for all I care.
I reached Mr. Salvador's office and took a deep breath before I knocked
"Come in" I heard him say
I pulled the door and walked in head up high, showing no sign of fear though deep down I was almost passing out, I shot Mr. Rotherham a quick glance and walked up to Mr. Salvador's desk.
"Morning sir" I said as I stood at his left infront of his desk, I could feel Mr.Rotherham's eyes scanning me like though his eyes wanted to devour me.

"I see you really considered what I told you, save time always" Mr.Salvador said looking straight into my eyes, and gosh he had the dreamiest eyes,
"What are you saying, he's your boss you fool" my inner self scolded me

"So where should I start?" I asked sounding determined to get over with this as Mr.Salvador gave that amused look on his face

"You really seem determined Miss Brook, I'm impressed" he said as he turned to Mr.Rotherham who was walking up to us

"I must say, I won't be disappointed, your first impression on the first job" Mr. Rotherham added as he sat down on a chair closer to where I was standing

"Miss Brook, you are going to be handling most areas of the business, you're incharge of the shipping, new products, testing, treasury is in your hands, all the other workers of CoD company are under your supervision, any challenges out of your reach transfer to me, reports transfer to me" Mr.Rotherham said as he handed me a flip board with papers on it

"I'll have you taken to CoD company for a tour of your new work area, you will have to know how work goes on there, for better performance. William Carter will picku up in a few minutes" he added and stood up

"Remember you work for us both, you handle data here and larger work at CoD" Mr. Salvador said looking at Mr.Rotherham who was looking outside through the glass walls

"Yes I know and I got this sir, but also means more salary, the more work I do the higher my salary...so I got to do my best no room for play" I said looking at my wrist watch before looking back at Mr. Salvador and I've never seen him look so impressed especially in a scarmbag like me, someone who would never impress anyone

"You can go now, Carter is already here for you with your guides" Mr. Rotherham said and I nodded before I left

" Excuse me" I said and turned to leave, I couldn't believe what was happening to me, I've become so confident maybe because I  don't want anyone to down look me.

I reached the first floor and everyone stared as a man in his mid 30s with hazelnut brown hair, in a black tuxedo I'm sure he was Carter ,with two other people
One was a short woman wearing a tuxedo too with her hair tied into a rather tight bun .

" Miss Brook can you follow us please" Carter said as I walked behind them, everyone else watched as others whispered wondering how a low life like me got better in just one day....
But I didn't care. I got outside to find 5 black Mercedes cars parked as one car was opened up for me in the back. I felt like some president and yet my entire life I've never been treated with this much respect not even from my own sisters.

Turns out CoD was among the biggest designer companies in New York City after GDB corporation Mr. Salvador's company, so this was their new collaboration for this entire year and looks like most errands in CoD are in my hands. Hope I don't mess this up cause Steve and Vegas are two most arrogant, scary people I know and I wouldn't want to get on their bad temper.
