What a nice day for my first day as a resident doctor. Because aside from Grant being admitted, his parents appeared in the hospital as well—luckily, I was able to hide before they could see me. I don't know what would happen if they saw me and I honestly, I don't want to think about it.

Then, I was introduced to almost all the hospital staff--which is really tiring, honestly. The number of patients coming in and out is really crazy!

I mean, I'm used to seeing a lot of patients back in my internship but not as much as I am seeing in here right now. I almost think that there's a health emergency going on if I was not told about the reason. They said the reason for those patients coming in and out is the medical assistance the hospital foundation provides to all the patients that cannot support their medical needs. And that honestly warms my heart. It touched me.

Saint Lawrence is a private institution, we are earning from the fees the patients pay and for them to open a foundation this huge—eligible beneficiaries will pay nothing whole throughout their treatment, even their meds are paid by the foundation-is so amazing.

"We must have a lot of sponsors for this huge foundation," I couldn't help but comment though, surely, we do have.

Clarissa, a co-resident doctor, nodded. "It's Dr. Aydan's project and pledges half of his monthly salary plus, his friends also donate monthly."

"His friends?"

"Yes. Alexus Samaniego—he's Dr. Aydan's friend. Engr. Caius Lazarus and his wife. Engr. Maverick De Chavez. Atty. Easton Delgado and his wife too. Connor Jimenez, the Racer. Even Gavin Lingconco, the Pilot. They are all donating. Nonstop," she said.

"That's nice to hear," I said, nodding.

I know those men. They are all Grant's best friends. And honestly, it amazed me to know that they are doing good things like this-far from those stupid tricks they always pull out back in the days. And damn, Caius and Easton are already married already! I missed hearing that news.

"Actually, the foundation was supposed for patients with respiratory problems only but the number of patients with other illnesses is unimaginable so, Dr. Aydan decided to open it to everyone eventually. And you see how many people it is helping now," Clarissa added and I can't help but smile.

Knowing all these, somehow, makes me feel proud. Proud of how they came to open a foundation like this.

"Going home already?" Aydan suddenly spoke behind me. I just came out from the doctors' quarter.

Finally, my shift ended!

I shrugged. "Yeah."

"Want to go out for dinner? A welcome home dinner," he said and I immediately shook my head.

"Thank you but no, thank you. Alam ko na mga ganyanan mo," I replied and he immediately chuckle.

I rolled my eyes at him and continued walking. How many had he done this to me before? I couldn't remember but I know a lot-so many times.

Aydan always asks me out to eat before. He told me that the boys-his friends-asked to meet me because they miss me but, in the end, that was all a lie. Because the moment I arrived in the place, they are not there and only Grant was there

He used to set me up like that.

"Grabe ka naman, Bree. Hanggang ngayon may sama ka parin ng loob sa akin? Ang tagal na nun." Ani niya, nakasunod parin sa akin. Umirap lang ako at hindi na sumagot. "Seriously, Grant's won't be there. He has a live guesting tonight. It's just really me and the boys."

Still, I shook my head. Grant would be there, sure. But I know they will tell him I was there so he'll come eventually.

"I'll pass, Aydan. I'm so tired. I want to rest," I said, turning to face him.
