"I'm certain now. He's in love with you!" Lia exclaimed. She jumped from her seat and moved closer to me. "Oh, my god! I knew from that interview that he is in love with you!" She added.

I told her what happened at the dinner—she insisted to know actually—and now she believes that Grant loves me. She's convinced that he was doing everything for sake because he's in love with me.

I disagree. I call that bullshit. I am more convinced that he is really after his inheritance, to be the sole heir of his family wealth—not that he was not already. The way he talked to Lucas, everything that he said to him and even in front of our family, it was now clearer to me what his motive was. Money.

I shook my head. "We need to start the plan now, Li. Call Sophie. Ask her if she's available tomorrow for a meeting; I need to talk to her about our plan," I told her. Her brows furrowed.

"Hindi mo ba narinig ang sinabi ko?" ani niya. "I am telling you that, that guy is fucking in love with you! Kaya hindi mo na kailangan ituloy pa ang plano mo dahil wala rin namang mangyayari! Siguradong hindi ka niya pakakawalan."

I arched my brow. "How certain are you that your conclusions are correct? Precise?" I asked her. "I know him, Lia. At alam na alam ko kung kailan siya nagsasabi ng totoo. At iyong nangyari kagabi, alam kong hindi iyon totoo. I know he was only agreeing to prolong this engagement because he, too, does not agree to it."

"Paano kung ikaw ang mali?" she answered back. "Paano kung pinipilit mo lang paniwalaan yang sarili mo kahit kitang-kita naman ang totoo?"

"Li, there's no other truth here but him wanting his inheritance so bad he chose to ruin our friendship and now, having a fight against his cousin," I said but she still shook her head. I sighed. "Please, let's not argue about this, him, and that idea you have in your mind. You know my stand here. You know very well how I hated this situation so please, don't force it on me like how my whole family is doing," I added.

Saying that, I saw how guilt was shown in Lia's eyes. "I'm sorry, Bree." She said and I just nodded, telling her it's fine.

"Let's not just talk about it that way. And please, call Sophie. I need her to move now," I answered.

That's what we need for the next few days. I already briefed Sophie what she needs to do and one of those will happen now.

"Are you sure he'll be here today?" Sophie asked me.

I nodded while getting her blood pressure. "Yes. He's scheduled for his monthly check-up today. He'll be here any minute now," I answered.

One of our plans is for her to pretend to be my patient so she could have a chance to meet him. I already told her about some things about Grant's interests so she will know how to get his attention. Sophie's pretty and based on how I knew her, I know it won't be hard for her to get him. And surely, it will be hard for him to ignore someone like her.

Sophie's the type of girl any man could not resist.

I am so sure of it.

"Here's what you need to do, Sophie. The moment they came—he and his manager, you should watch out for his manager because she's kind of noisy—I will tell them to wait in my office since I have other patients to assist. But you will be there first and that's when our plan starts. Understand?"

Sophie smirked. "That's easy. Is there anything I need to do aside from what we have planned?"

I shook my head. "None. I will leave everything in your hands after that. What I am only asking you is to get his attention. Make him like you, fall in love with you, if possible," I answered.
