a/n: dialogues in italics means they're speaking in a different language—in this case: Italian. i purposely avoided using google translate to include the dialogues in actual Italian, rather than English because i don't think they're actually quite accurate and there's a lot of dialogues... and also because this is an English book and you'd be needing translations anyway.

6.47 pm.
13 more minutes to go.
Okay.
And he starts pacing in his room again. Back and forth. Back and forth.
Josh said that he'd come and pick him up for their date. Well, the date part itself is more than exciting — they've been on countless of dates, but somehow every date still manages to feel like their first one, or maybe even better. But Josh coming to pick him up at house... he doesn't quite know how to feel about it, just yet.
At first when his boyfriend had texted him asking it, Elliot was sure he must be dreaming — he even pinched himself. But surprisingly enough, he wasn't. And then he read the message again just to make sure he hadn't misread or anything. He hadn't.
A warm feeling surged through him, from the top of his head to the tip of his toes, he was beaming at his phone screen as if it was the most precious thing ever. He started bouncing on his feet, even did a little spin, before his phone buzzed again with a worried Josh. Elliot smiled, shaking his head — of course his golden boy had started worrying. He was always doubting himself — Elliot found it adorable, but sometimes he wishes could just crawl into the boy's head and sweep away all his insecurities.
However there are some visible improvements in the blond — he is becoming more sure of himself, realising what he wants, and he has started to make many of the first moves — holding his hands, resting his head on his shoulder, hugging him, kissing him. And kissing him, Elliot feels like the novelty of it could just never fade away.
