Dimitri was walking to see his friend Dr. Ashford, that is until someone bumped into him. He was just a few inches taller than this stranger. The guy mumbled sorry and then looked up at him. The stranger stared at him and got flushed when he was caught staring. After that encounter he managed to make it to Dr. Ashford's office.
"Sup," Dimitri said.
"A complicated diagnosis," Dr. Ashford sighed tossing papers down.
"Oh, what about?" Dimitri asked. He was also a doctor but sometimes two heads are better than one.
"Donevan Jenkins....weird diagnosis in Sweden and here it's like different." Dr. Ashford said getting up to get the tests, "it makes no sense, he really didn't have cancer in Sweden. So, they put him on chemotherapy and radiation. But, because he was healthy and had chemotherapy and radiation he now has cancer."
"So, a misdiagnosis." Dimitri asked.
"Possibly," Dr. Ashford hummed.
"Well, did you tell him? About the misdiagnosis?" Dimitri asked again.
"No, he yelled at me. Didn't get the chance too," they were both talking while heading out for lunch when they saw a heated argument between Donevan and someone else.
"Jeez, Donevan! Why can't you just not be stubborn this time?! Get the fucking treatment done! How hard is that?" Lucas yelled.
"Last time I did I almost fucking died! And then after everything the one person I loved left me. And not to mention Lynn and Mykahil. Lynn moved out and I'm freaking glad. I'm just so tired of trying to find someone. Am I that disfigured that I can't live the rest of my life with someone beside me?" Donevan whispered the last part. Ashford and Dimitri were shocked, the notes from the doctor in Sweden didn't mention him almost dying.
"This scar, when I first met you. These scars, on my stomach and chest from the cancer. I'm so done, maybe I should just have cats..." Donevan said trailing off when he saw the hottest guy ever and Ashford.
"Donevan, I have something to say. The results from Sweden....are inaccurate, you never had cancer in Sweden. I think they got the charts wrong. You were healthy, you just passed out from lack of sleep and dehydration. Right now, you just have a small minuscule bump in your head that could be anything." Dr. Ashford explained.
"Wait, your telling me I got cancer without cancer?" Donevan asked confused.
"Yes," Dr. Ashford said.
