After hearing in on the conversation with Mykahil and Lynn, Donevan went back to his apartment and sat down on the couch. He didn't know that was how Lynn and Mykahil felt about him. The only person he knew he needed to call for advice was someone who broke his heart those many years ago.
"Kaden, I need you. Not like in a sexual way. I have no idea what to do." Donevan sent the text and didn't know when he would hear back from him. Two minutes later he heard a ping and picked up his phone to read:
Kaden: What's up?
D: I have a crush...and someone has a crush on me. One person likes me as a friend and the other more than a friend.
K: Wait, what?
D: Well...I am stuck in a weird love triangle.
K: With who?
D: Lynn Heartwell and Mykahil Reid...
K: So, which one you like?
D: Lynn but he only wants to be friends.
K: Ok meaning that Mykahil likes you?
D: Yes
K: What's the problem then?
D: I don't know. I thought I liked Lynn but then I was looking at Mykahil and I made some compliments. Then he ran off.
K: Go after him you idiot...
D: Uh really?
K: Look, if Lynn only wants you as a friend then find this Mykahil guy and try to make it work.
D: You are right. I mean what the hell. I am not getting any younger anymore.
K: Duh, go get your man Donevan and be happy.
After the texts Donevan made up his mind. He heard Lynn walk to his apartment not too long ago so he got up and walked over and knocked.
"Oh hey." Lynn said.
"Hey, so this is really awkward...um I followed you to where Mykahil was staying. I was worried about both of you and I heard in on your conversation with him. I am sorry I didn't mean too but I did," Donevan confronted Lynn.
"Then you know it is true about what I feel towards you?" Lynn asked.
"Yes, I do." Donevan said.
"So, do you really like him?" Lynn asked.
"I liked you. But now...I am not sure. I texted and old friend and he told me to go after Mykahil." Donevan sighed.
"Oh, well he left not too long ago. You can find him in Grace, MI but that is about it. But be careful there are a lot more things in that town that can change him." Lynn pointed out.
