After the Magic Tester left I ran to my room and burst out into tears. I honestly didn't know why I was crying. I had just had my world shaken to its core. Both my girlfriend's came into my room and sat down next to me on my bed. "Are you okay Lav?" Aleisha asked me worried. "I'm not even human Ali. What even is a fairy?" I asked between sobs. Nadia cast a spell on me to calm me down. Before Aleisha spoke. "Fairies are more myth than fact. Legend says that they used to control all of magic and gave the rest of magickind access to the free pools of it across the world" Aleisha explained. "Witchkind attempted to trap fairies and take their magic for themselves which caused many covens to perish. Fae are far to powerful to force against their will" Nadia told us both solemnly. "The Dark-Elves have their own stories. It's said that the Fae created the High Elves and then the Dark-Elves were made as shadows of both the Elves and Fae" I looked at both girlfriend's in horror. "Stories of genocide and creation" I stated aloud. I looked at Nadia who was inspecting the bracelet. "This belonged to a God but it looks so plain. It's just silver beads with runes" she told us playing with it in her hands. "Don't put it on. I have a feeling it will hurt you greatly" I warned her quickly. She passed it to me and I slid it on my wrist. I could feel immense power resonating deep inside of me. "Um Lavara babe, your glowing" Aleisha told me after noticing the white glow coming off of my entire body. I took off the bracelet quickly and the feeling of power dimmed and went away. "How strange?" I pondered. "I've got to get to work" Aleisha told us as she noticed the time on her watch. We both gave her a kiss and she told me "Your a fairy babe, that's amazing. Be proud of yourself because you know that I am" before leaving for work.
After she left Nadia passed me the bracelet again. "Want to practice some spellcraft with that bracelet on?" She asked me. I knew I was curious as to what I could actually do now but I was also kind of scared as well. "I can try" I told her slipping it on. "Try floating some books" she told me as she apparated some large books. I did as she asked and the books flew around the room like they were alive. "That's new" Nadia said aloud. The books screeched calling to one another. "I think.. I just gave them life" I told Nadia and myself in complete shock about what I had just accomplished. "Can you take it away?" Nadia asked me. "I can try" I told her as I waved my hand towards the creatures. They burst into flame and disintegrated instantly. I frowned "I didn't mean to do that" I told her. "Let's try something a little more difficult" she told me. She bent down onto her knees and saying a small spell made a rose grow out of the ground. "Try some basic cholorokinesis. Make a flower grow out of nothing" she told me. "I've never done cholorkinesis" I told Nadia feeling out of my element. "Just humour me" she said smiling. I bent down on my own knees, closed my eyes and concentrated. "Lav stop!" Nadia yelled sounding panicked. I opened my eyes to see the entire room; the floor, walls, roof and furniture all covered in flower and plants. Even Nadia's clothes had sprouted grass and flowers. I gritted my teeth. "Sorry" I apologised feeling frustrated at myself. Without a second thought I waved my hand and everything went back to normal. Nadia looked shocked "how did you do that?" She asked me. I took a step back in shock that I had. "It just felt like second nature. Like I thought it and it happened" I explained. "Well the glow went away when you did it as well" Nadia told me which I hadn't noticed myself. I looked at my body. It wasn't glowing that was for sure. Although I could feel power brimming everywhere in my body. "Fairy's really are powerful!" Nadia exclaimed in awe. I took the bracelet off and began to feel more like myself again. I took a deep breath. "Its almost too much power" I told Nadia slumping onto the floor. Nadia came and sat next to me. "How do you feel?" She asked me. I fiddled with the bracelet in my fingers. "Its like going from level one to one hundred instantly. Almost like anything is possible but there's no seat belt. It feels dangerous" I told her before pocketing the bracelet. "A fae's magic pool is said to be  almost limitless at any given time" without practice you're likely to pour out dangerous amounts of energy for even the simplest of spells" Nadia said taking my hand. I looked into my girlfriend's eyes. "When do we start at the college? The sooner we do the sooner I'll feel safer" I told her. Nadia sighed "we start in two days. The people of the human world will think that we've won a long vacation" she explained. "Ah I see" I said thinking excitedly about our future together at the college. Nadia moved and sat in front of me, sitting on her legs. "Lav I need you to understand something" she started, sounding very serious. "Nadia what is it?" I asked kind of worried. "People at the college will try to use you. Both the students and teachers" she told me looking worried. "All the myths of Fairies speak of tremendous power. A lot of people are going to want that for themselves" she explained obviously worried about me. I turned to my side and laid flat on the ground staring at the ceiling. I played with the bracelet in my hand. Pushing on the runes so they were imprinted on my fingers. Nadia sat behind my head and I moved up resting my head on her lap. I slipped the bracelet on once again. "I have an idea, just trust me" I told her. I held my hand over the bracelet and thought strongly about what I wanted. A bracelet appeared on Nadia's arm that looked similar to my own, apart from being wooden and having slightly different runes. I took my own bracelet off, once again pocketing it. "Whats with this?" She asked curious. "If ever I'm in danger than this will let you draw on power from my own mana pool. It will only ever work for Aleisha and yourself though and only if I'm in danger" I explained to her. "How did you do that?" Nadia asked me, seemingly shocked. "I just thought about it and it worked" I simply said before getting up. "Come on we should start packing for College" I told her grinning and excited.
