Fate Of The Fae

Chapter Five

We'd been studying at the La Mirage College for a month now and had barely seen Lavara at all in that time. She had the most advanced classes and was only permitted to eat with the God level students. She visited our dorm at least once a week which we always looked forward to. She had enough control of her power to use a good portion without wearing the bracelet. With all the power freely flowing through her now her appearance had begun to change. Her skin now glistened like beautiful gemstones when you looked closely. Her eyes would change color depending on her mood and her hair had grown so fast it was down by her feet now. Nadia was worried that all the power would corrupt her. I was just worried about losing her to the more popular God crowd. Nadia had a lot of night classes and so she would often sleep most of the day and be up all night. My classes were designed to help me increase my natural magic and abilities. They were often early morning classes so I would did get to spend time with Nadia during the afternoons. She now carried a grimoire with her everywhere she went and began to use a wand to better direct magic. She always wore the bracelet Lav had made us, which told me just how much she worried about her.
After today's classes I recieved a message from a Hermes. "Lavara has just learned how to conjure portals so she would love if you would visit her. She'll be conjuring a portal into your room later this afternoon" he explained to me. As soon as Nadia woke up I told her and we both became really excited. We hadn't had a private moment with our girlfriend since arriving here.
We laid in bed cuddling and talking quietly all afternoon until the portal finally appeared. Luckily Nadia had no classes this evening so we were free to see our beautiful girlfriend for as long as we were able to. We walked through the portal and it led us into a beautiful forest clearing, there was a surreal beautiful waterfall on one side, on the other was a cottage surrounded by an absolute stunning garden. Lavara flew down towards us from above. She held us both so tightly "I missed you both so much" she told us full of emotion. She let go of the embrace and her eyes glowed a beautiful shade of pink. Nadia was telling her how much she missed her while I was just looking at how much she had changed. The one thing that had mostly caught my attention was the fact that she wasn't wearing the bracelet. "Hey babe" I casually said before kissing her. "Where about are we?" I asked looking around once again at the very different environment than we had been expecting. "Oh this is my room" she told us. "Aren't we outside?" Nadia asked just as confused as I was. "Each God and goddess is given a special domain depending on the pantheon they belong to. This happens to be the Fae domain" she explained to us before spinning around to emphasise the area. I decided that it was best not to tell her that we shared a room with six other girls. She held our hands and led us to the cottage. "Good evening Eliza. I hope your day has been terrific" she told a griffin that was walking around her garden. She transfigured into a naked human woman right in front of us. "Its been a wonderful day Master. Plenty of fresh vegetables for your kitchen tonight" she told Lavara who patted her head like she was a pet. I looked at Nadia and she shrugged seemingly lost for words. "Oh this is Eliza. I created her to tend my garden. She and the other servants live in a small village with the trees" she explained matter of fact like. "Just how big is this domain?" Nadia asked curious. We entered the cabin. "I've never actually reached an end" she told us and shrugged. "Wait, did you say you created your servants?" I asked suddenly catching up on the fact that she had said that. "Yeah, I've brought back multiple extinct magical beings. I've given them all free will and access to their own private mana pool in exchange for their services" she told us. "You can create mana pools now?" Nadia asked impressed. "Yeah it's quiet easy" she told her. We sat down in a lounge area. "I've had the kitchen staff prepare us a small feast" she said smiling. Nadia laid her on Lavara's lap. "I've been so worried about you but you seem to be doing just fine" she admitted. Lav looked at me and I moved closer. "Look everything is cool here. I love having this area all to myself" she said before sighing. "Outside its constant trouble though. I'm the last fairy. Some gods are already on to me" she admitted and then I could see just how much stress she was holding onto. "Are you safe?" I asked sitting forward. "I've made a friend here that reports directly to the headmistress" she explained. "Have you met her?" Nadia asked curious. "I hear she's related to fairies distantly" I added quickly. "I've met her, she invited me for tea in her office during our second week here. She warned me about the possibility of my own power corrupting me" Lav told us. "I've been worried about that too" I admitted anxiously. Lavara put her hand on my leg and looked into my face. "As long as the Fae domain remains beautiful, I haven't been corrupted. So as long as it remains peaceful here everything will be fine" she reassured me before kissing my cheek. Nadia sat up "all magical beings can be corrupted though. In fact if another God knew about the two of us they could use us against you" she told Lav reffering to herself and me. "I could boost your power but too much power can be dangerous" Lavara states beginning a train of thought. "What about some kind of emergency device like the bracelet you made us?" I suggested. "Oh oh oh I have a great idea" Lav said standing up. We both stood up with her. "Are you both okay if I try something a little advanced on the both of you?" She asked us. Nadia looked at me and I looked at her. We both nodded confidently. "Okay this may sting a little" she told us as she put on the bracelet and gripped both our forearms. I felt a burning sensation against my skin for a moment until Lav lifted her hand off of both our forearms. She sat back on the couch seeming a little wiped from whatever she had just done. I looked at my forearm and saw a tattoo of a fairy wing. On Nadia's forearm was the other fairy wing. We both sat down next to her,one on each side."Are you okay babe?" Nadia asked concerned. "Yeah I've never done that on two people at once before. It was a little more intense than I thought it would be" she explained before Wiping her brow. "What does it do?" I asked curiously. "If ever you're in an emergency just place your whole palm over the tattoo and it will cut off all magical beings flow to the mana pools in the area. It also grants you temporary access to a very powerful mana pool I created in each of your bodies. I should warn you though; Fairy enhancement magic is uber powerful. Fairy Magic is ancient magic so I don't know exactly the extent of what it could do to your bodies so just be careful" Lav warned us. I put my arms around her and told her "only in the most extreme circumstances will we ever use it". Nadia smiled looking at the tattoo. "Nice ink" she said jokingly. We all laughed and felt so much better.
We ate a delicious meal and spent the night together. I left early in the morning by another portal I had Lavara open. As timeless as the Fairy domain is, I still do have my normal classes to attend. Nadia spent most of the day with Lav before returning to attend her own classes that evening. Things were a weird kind of normal but at least we knew what to expect from the college. Or so we thought.
