Steve was now in his music class, listening to the professor spew out stuff that he already knew. He looked over at the girl that he hooked up with just days before who was already looking at him. He cringed on the inside as he looked back at the professor.
"Hey?" Someone whispered from behind Steve and tapped his shoulder. He turned to be facing a random guy. "What's up with all the hickeys on the back of your neck?"
Steve's face started to heat up. He thought Eddie was only leaving kisses there. "Mind your own business." He turned back to face the front of the room.
"Rude," the kid scoffed. Steve decided to ignore it as he finally started to take down notes.
The professor sighed before going on with what he was saying. "The assignment I want you to do is write a song. There's no theme, no topic I'm going to give you because it doesn't help your creativeness if I make you write something about a specific topic. It's due next week, if you get it done before then, you can still turn it in." He looked around the whole class before adjusting his glasses. "You have a ten minute start to get working on it now before class ends."
Steve looked down at his notebook that has half written notes on it. He frustratedly ran a hand through his hair with a quiet groan. He had no clue what he would write about, not a single topic would come to his mind.
Time had flown by so fast, the bell had run for everyone to leave and Steve still had nothing written down. He started to pack all his things back in his bag, ignoring everyone around him.
"Hey, Steve?" The girl he had hooked up with was now infront of him. He tried so hard not to cringe and just threw on a fake smile.
"What's up?" Steve threw on his bag, making eyecontact with the girl.
She looked him up and down with a smirk. "I was wondering if you could help me write this song later?"
Steve's eyes widened as he tiled his head. "Actually, I'm going to be busy all week with family visiting and my band mates coming down. I'm sorry I can't help, good luck." He has never came up with a lie so fast in his life. Steve quickly left the class with a sigh.
"Hey." Eddie was leaning against the wall outside the class, obviously waiting for Steve.
Steve jumped a little at Eddie's voice. "Jesus, dude." He lightly pushed Eddie. "Thanks for the hickeys on the back of my neck, by the way."
"You're welcome," Eddie put his arm around Steve's shoulder as they walked down the hall. Eddie was covered in car grease and dirt but, Steve didn't really mind. What he was more worried about was people giving them stares in the halls. "How was class?"
"Oh, it was fine. We have to do this assignment where we just write a song. The professor didn't give us a topic or anything, he just said write a song." Steve looked around as people stared at him and Eddie. "Could you get your arm off of me?" Steve whispered.
Eddie nodded, sliding his arm off of Steve. "I could help you write a song, if you want."
"Hell no, you only write metal and rock songs."
"And some of those songs could be sung as pop songs, you do know that? Just very edgy pop songs." Eddie laughed a bit. "Have you even listened to my songs?"
"No because I don't like metal or rock."
"Yet, you know the lyrics to Sweet Child O' Mine?"
"It's because that's a classic."
"And Kiss?"
"Kiss is a well know band."
"Mötley Crüe?"
