BROOK
After a long day, I would like to just go to bed. My eyes burn slightly because I've been writing the text for Jena all night.
But unfortunately, I still have to work on it. So I step into the university library. "Hello Brook." Mrs. English, the librarian and also my boss, smiled at me. "Hello." I smiled lightly back. "I'll be right here." "Don't stress yourself, dear." so I was on my way back to the little locker that was made available to me.
I stuffed in my jacket, helmet, and backpack as I pulled out my name tag and pinned it to my sweater.
Then I went outside and went to Miss English, who was sitting in her ordinary spot at the counter just before the exit. "So, what should I do?" The slightly older lady with the round glasses is still typing something on the keyboard as she looks at me, "Please put the books on the right shelves." "Okay."
I grabbed the end of the trolley with the heavy books and pushed it forward to the first instructed compartment. Business Informatics. I took a few books in my hand and then arranged them in free places on the shelves.
I did that a little longer when I heard someone next to me. "Hey, can you help me?" I put the last book I was holding in my hands on the shelf when I saw Logan on my left.
"If you're looking for the way out, it the door next to Mrs. English." Logan grinned slightly. "Nice joke, but I need a book." I took the next few books and put them on the shelf. "What kind?"
"Ancient historical history." I raised an eyebrow, but I don't care. I put the book down and went to find the book that Logan wants so he could finally leave me alone.
During that time, the guy babbled to me.
"Do you have plans for today?"
"So much that I hardly have any time left." "That was sarcastic. If you want, we can do something after your shift." I grabbed the book as I pressed it to the campus player's chest."Here's your book." He turned it over and looked at it. "Is it a good one? I don't want to read anything unnecessary." I rolled my eyes. "What reason would it give me not to give you a good one?"
"It seems to me that you don't like me." And he's damn right about it. I don't think I can even begin to describe how inadequately he's making me feel worse. Should I let him just pick up that book and go somewhere else?
"It's a good book." "Fine, I trust you." he doesn't even have to. Just because he's acting charming doesn't mean I'll accept his offer on a date.
I'll stand by my statement, he'll get bored somehow, and he'll realize that there's no way to go out with me, he'll be gone faster than I can think.
I walk from Logan to get back to work.
The entire time I was here, I couldn't concede. Logan was here the whole time. He sat at the table and read the book I gave him. He looked at me a few times and a few times the corner of his mouth rose.
