BROOK
~Cults by Gilded LilyIt looks like I'm making good progress with the cancer cells that I've been examining for a long time, but I will certainly need a while to really call this a success. I got quite far, but again not enough to make it big. I wrote the things that are important in a book, which I also use now.
Reading and writing new things down a lot at home. I felt good talking to Logan like this yesterday. I hardly remember it, but he took me home, and I finally said what I thought, and tried harder to put my head into research. Well, the results speak for themselves.
I wrote one more thing in the book and close it, held my hands up, and stretched. I used the time a lot today since the laboratory officially opened.
Getting up from the chair, walking to my locker, so I could get my wallet out. I was getting hungry and my craving for coffee has been bigger since I drank my first one in the morning so quickly.
So I put the wallet with my hands in the pockets of the smock and was already on my way down to Lay's. When I got to the door, I held it open for someone who went in first and got out. I'm always happy about how close the university café is next to the laboratory.
I mean it could be across the street and also behind the main building which is quite a long way compared to the way I have to get. Just walk 2 minutes, and I'm already in the queue to order something.
I didn't exactly have a big order, but it took me a while to hold it in my hands and head back to the lab. As I stepped out of Lay's and the bell mounted on the top of the door rang, Logan caught my eye.
He was walking straight from the library to the parking lot. I didn't text him yesterday to thank him for what he did. I cursed him as an ass in my head more than once yesterday, but he deserved it. Nevertheless, I would like to express my thanks to him, which is why I take a quick look to see if anyone is in view, and then I called his name.
Saying his name out loud isn't this what I'm done a lot the last few days, but it's okay. I feel okay with it as if not much had happened. He reacted immediately to my call and looked to the side. His backpack hung on one shoulder and was held by his hand. As a result, I also saw his hand, which is once again beautifully decorated with rings.
He has his hair back in waves and it's become quite shorter so that nothing has to push it away from his eyes. I went to him. He looked at me from above. I was silent for a brief moment as my inner self forced me to speak since I was the one who stopped him.
I tapped the lid of the coffee with my finger and finally dared to open my mouth. "I just wanted to thank you for bringing me home yesterday." Logan seemed quite surprised, but he nodded at me. "No problem, even though I got a few punches from you." did I hit him? I really can't remember a lot of things from yesterday.
"You somehow deserved it." The smile I have as a memory escaped his lips. "Seems like it." "I'd better go then." I point my thumb back toward the lab. I turned and was about to leave when Logan called my name and I turned as if waiting for him to take me back to our somewhat awkward conversation.
