"Here is more." I looked to the side of my computer and saw a person whose name I don't even know holding a stack of three more folders that I need to digitize. This is the second time the folders have been handed to me.

I can't do this anymore. My fingers hurt and my eyes burn. I've been stuck at this table for over a week, I am chained at the foot. No other work was given to me at the time, and I shouldn't have talked myself into it positively.

Hoping for something else, that I somehow get a part of the work in front of me, but it's very different. I'm sitting here, and my ass is in pain. The papers are not getting smaller. No matter how much I work a day when I have finished a folder, three others get added.

I'm fed up with being here and am I considering resigning, so he can do his paperwork himself. When I see the picture of his shadow, I only recognize thatMster McCann is sitting inside his office. He certainly doesn't do anything special and lets me do his shitty work.

I got up to finally commit myself to it. Nobody will take advantage of me. The industry may have a good reputation, but it really isn't that good.
I was on my way to the office door, but someone caught my eye, so I quickly sat back down.

I straightened my smock and sat straight with my back to Mister McCann's office. What is she doing here? I pretended to work, but actually, I was looking at the glass that replaced the wall. The reflection of the person showed me the look I have not forgotten to this day, it was Ms. North. Logan's mother.

Does she know that I work here? I wasn't sure. Everything I do here, what if she's involved? I mean, she doesn't like me, which I really don't understand. I tried to be nice from the start, to make her accept me, but it wasn't like that.

To be honest, I don't care now. It would be important to me that my boyfriend's mother would like me, but unfortunately, things turned out differently. Still, it would be nice to hear that she would at least tolerate Logan.

It's her son, after all. I would like that. No matter how she feels about me, the main thing is that they would show Logan what parental love means.

But I continued my work. I can't just walk in there and announce that I never come back in here. My ears hear a click with every tap of my finger on the keyboard. I did it quickly but carefully, so I wouldn't have to do much in the time.

I cracked my neck and ran my hand over it. My eyes sneak to the computer at the time, finally, I'm done in less than 5 minutes. So, tidying up my workspace, I was about to get up from my chair, but instead, I felt the presence of someone next to me.

"And this is Ms. Sanchez." I turn my head to the person and Mr. McCann is standing with Logan's mother next to me. I got up from the chair and held up my hand. "Ms. North." came the voice from her, but she didn't raise her hand, so I could shake it.
